I like the idea of reducing the landrush thing. How about doing it similar to the starbase system, where each consecutive starbase gets more expensive to build? It wouldn't have to be linear either, so that the first colonies are comaratively cheap, but then they get painfully expensive. If you link that to the size of the galaxy maybe, you could add this as more of a strategic decision.

I agree, very funny - I just love stuff like that. For those interested in the origin: Link
For me opening and closing any screen (e.g. research, planet development, etc.) was sufficient. The button would then magically reappear. (I'm pretty sure my sacrificing of chickens had nothing to do with it, neither did it help keep the Campaign mission "Siege" from crashing at the Endgame save, so spare the birds )
I was wondering how to make it easier for you to fix bugs or what other players/I thought of as bugs. Could you maybe sticky a post describing what informations you would like to recieve and how they should be offered? (a listing of known bugs would be great to reduce double postings) Also I have a couple of Savegames where some bugs can be reproduced rather easyly. Are those of interest to you guys? As I understand it the starbase will only fight directly if attacked directly. If you fight in its area of influence, it will only boost the stats of your ships, depending on the modules you installed (military starbases only, you can see a little ship icon next to the module when choosing while upgrading). As for not getting any bonuses as mentioned above: I didn't notice that. And I had beam defence added to my ship in camaign missions whe
Common Bug: Sometimes after loading a saved game Ship-Traveling-Distances were wrong. E.g. I could not move my Scout any further away because it would tell me something along the line, that my max. distance was reached and I needed to be closer to a planet/base. Next turn (and before loading) it would work properly.
Same here I'm currently using Firefox v1.0.7 and everything works fine. so long...
