And the point of your post is? ... and the stupidest post of the day goes to *drum rolls* Astax. Perhaps instead of wasting time telling people how people should enjoy this game and how much they suck because they find defence to be comparitively useless, you could actually go play t

Its just an unneccesary complication thats not needed, they may as well reduce the increase that minutarization gives. This is a glaring problem with this game: things are just unneccesarily complicated. Another example is morale, it doesn't increase morale by the % it says it does, but actually by some weird calculation. You know when your design is perfect NOT when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothi

I DO consider this an EXPLOIT and I think its good that you realize this too. However I disagree on you saying planets are too hard to capture. Consider that a planet by default has 5mill pop. And for every 5mill more at start of game, u need 1tile farm 1 tile entertainment. I think thats a big cost to pay and its fairly balanced. Also consider that as the "invador" you get a HUGE bonus, such that you need a much lesser

Actually having 2 identical planets with 50% labs and 50%factory would be the same as specialized planet of 100%lab and 100%factory. The reason is when you put your spending 50%science 50%mili , even if u had 2 identical planets, still only 50% of their potential for each building is used. HOWEVER, there is a reason to specialize. This is because when you put the "research" or "production" capital, it will increase those plantest

Poor things, along with me, I'm sure many other people cancelled their order from Amazon.uk to get the order from Stardock directly, since the difference in product arrival time is HUGE. With all the cancelled orderes they prolly reduced price...

I don't get what you're saying.... if your fleet/ships are on the startbase and someone attacks, then the fleet will be the first unit to fight [assuming its the strongest]. Do you mean you wan't a fleet which is a few squares away to come and defend the starbase automatically?

I think the pop growth is a bug. This is because the racial trait has NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER either which i find odd. I mean haven't they played even one game with the population racial trait? I also find it odd that the racial trait: +3 trade route costs 9 points out of our 10, when firstly it SUX compared to cost, and secondly there is a normal civ with +3traderoute and a lot more traits. I think it may have been a typo and I look forward to it being resolved as

Actually I was one of the people who made some reports abut some iritating bugs. However let me tell you this: the fact that I bothered to write about it and spend my time doing it, is definately not a bad thing at all, there aren't many games out there that I would bother trying to help improve and this is one of them. And almost everything in life can be improved, it doesn't mean its not a damn good thing at the moment! <

I have this problem also. The numbers are incredibly WAY off, in the middle of my first game, staying all nigh to play which was enjoyable, I noticed this discrepancy and spend 2 hours or so trying to do the calculation in many different ways, sometimes even trying to work backwards. The result is that I never managed to get it. Just to show you guys that its completely messed up: Start new game, Human and ev

I have downloaded the preload, yet no matter where I look I can't seem to find any "videos" to watch that give a tutorial to the game. Can someone tell me where I'm not looking? I feel like I'm missing something here... edit: Aha, its an adittional download thats accessed by expanding the GalCiv2 Icon in Stardock Central

I think its VERY bad business practice to allow people to buy from thier own website before its released in the relevant country. If anything, companies tend to favour their distributors rather than their own retail distribution, for example I recall an instance when ATI ran out of a specific GPU and decided to delay their own order so that they can still go ahead make their promised shipments to OEMs like Asus etc. I have just ca
