I have no idea which waypoint corresponds to which ship. Possible solution: when a ship is selected, his waypoint is made more bright, other waypoints are made more dim.

So I'm wondering how you guys take a planet from an enemy civilisation. I'm asking because I just finished the 1st level of the campaign. After initally using research to benefit my economy, I eventually teched up my war technology. I sent a small fleet of Mark 1 fighters to the star system that the Drengin control. Meeting absolutely no resistance (strangely- the Drengin were researching Xeno ethics when I was invading) I kep
Deathly slow at 30kB/s on an 8Mb connection, but as we say in Sheffield, England: "It's better than a car boot sale". And only a 5Mb patch
At a guess- we are only missing the client .dlls, which should only be 1-2Mb?
Can someone tell me the folder location of the tutorial files please? I have installed the RAD BINK player, and have downloaded all the sub-installs (tutorials, movies and multimedia) from Stardock Central. I have found .bik files in the folder: C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Movies ...but they seem to be in-game movies. Help! [EDI
The Gods decided that a 3 day wait from the U.S. to Euro launch wasn't long enough. Take the plunge and buy it from Stardock. £8 more expensive, but you don't have to wait another 10 days.
I pre-ordered from Stardock today, too. How long did you have to wait to receive the e-mail with your serial number? [EDIT] Apologies for double post. This site is really slow

To be honest- having the CD isn't too much of a bother. As PJ_ mentioned, I'm quite happy to burn the files to a CD. Do we get a dicount if all we want is the electronic version? And not the hardcopy?
Woah. So for a European to buy GalCiv2 using Stardock costs 45 Euros + 21%? It's a good job that trying to use this Stardock program is the most confusing thing ever, or I would have ordered GalCiv2 already under the pretense of it costing only $45.
I considered cancelling my UK play.com order of GalCiv 2 so that I could purchase the electronic download (which comes out 3 days before the European hardcopy release) but it seems a fair bit more expensive: play.com = £18 ($31) Download = £25.80 ($45) Not only does the play.com price include VAT (tax) and delivery (so £18 is the final price), but obviously it comes on a CD with the manual- a bonus as far as I'm concer
Just signed up to quickly say that I've pre-ordered GalCiv2- something I rarely do. Here's why: 1. The game itself, duh. 2. The developers. They have a repore with us customers/fans. How used are we to faceless developers such as EA who release a game, patch it once, then concentrate on next year's version of the same game? 3. Anti-piracy. Or lack there of. You devs are real people who understand that we *do* genuinely
