Ever since installing Stardock software (WindowBlindsand other objectdesktop software I paid for, ObjectDock-freeware, etc) I have had a couple of programs act screwy or not work at all, including Corel Draw Suite and Powerdvd Deluxe 5. I initially thought it was WindowBlinds but after a little trial and error it turns out the problem is Object Dock. Has anyone else experienced problems with any media player (i.e. powerdvd) and objectdock? How did you fix the pr

Now that my desktop computer is up again (power supply went bad) I was able to do some more testing. It seems that the culprit it not windowblinds but instead ObjectDock. If OD is closed Powerdvd works fine but when I open OD, Powerdvd craps out again. Although this is the wrong forum thread, I will ask anyway. Is there much difference between the free OD and the OD+? I am willing to purchase OD+ if it will fix this problem but it is not worth it to

Hi Neil, I assume you work for Stardock from your various posts. Anyway, to clarify something you said. I do not notice any difference when the program is maximized or minimized or any size in between. For me at least, it does not matter what size the powerdvd window size is. What I was trying to say was it acted differently depending on how the program was opened. For example, if I open powerdvd first then browse to the movie file I get a black box. Howeve

My Corel 9 works at home on my desktop but not on my laptop. Both computers have the exact same software but obviously different hardware and hardware drivers. However, Powerdvd works on my laptop but not on my desktop. It appears hardware or hardware drivers are to blame. Correction: My desktop has Windows XP Pro SP2 while my laptop had XP Pro SP1. Therefore I need to update to SP1 on my laptop and see what hap

Hi Gripp, I know what you mean. I posted in another thread about my video problems. It seems to affect some and not others. Some of my video players work fine (MS Player Ver 6 and 10 and VLC) and others don't (Powerdvd Ver5). Reinstalls don't fix it either. I also have at least one program that does not open now (Corel Draw Suite 9) so I am beginning to regret my purchase. Heck the only program I really wanted was Objectdock and it is free.

I believe we have the same problem. When I open a movie in Cyberlink PowerDVD 5 I have a black box in the middle of the screen. Nothing I have tried removes the box including a reinstall of the player. Other players have zero problems such as VLC player and MS Player. I also noticed something weird. If I open Powerdvd player first then browse for a movie to open I get the black box. However, if I double click on a movie file the movie

I apologize if this has been discussed but I didn't find it. I bought Object Desktop and installed the windowblinds program. After that the javascript did not work in my IE browser. I found a fix by reinstalling Windows Script Host but it is a temporary fix. I have to keep reinstalling this everytime my javascript stops working. Any ideas what to do? Drop down to WB4.x???

Does anyone know if the $34.xx upgrade price each year for Object Network includes any upgrades to Object Dock Plus? If anyone from Stardock actually reads this...I am much less excited about your products after I find out about all the "extra" expenses to get the entire package.
