i keep my taxes at 20% 26% and running on full production when you pop gets big anuff the money just rolls in. when im in debt becuase of war I crank that tax to 100 for a turn to get out of debt. you get a morale hit but by the next turn its back to normal, aslong as i dont time it too close to an election. helps me crank out thoughs transports with out worrying about population hit. if a planets moral is down i usually have anuff cash to drop a entertainment center on the planet to boost moral

defense is key for my game plan reserching miniturizing and large hulls i make a few ships with 2 powerful weapons and load it with defenses. got a ship that has gotten over more then 2 times the hp it started with over190 hp. distroying dreadnoughts or entire fleets while only takeing 2-8 points of damage in return is great.

i have my espionge on advance and my guys are only stelling tech when ever i take over a planet? is this normal? never seen it give me tech otherwise.
