I have done some further testing on the issue of the growing save game file, and there is definitly a memory leak somewhere in that process. I started a new game today using the same starting scenario I had used yesterday. After the first 30 or so turns the files only grew at a small rate. By turn 34 the file was at 6934 kb. I then did the same thing as I did yesterday, saved the game, landed a colony ship, then reloaded the save game and the file grew to 8047 kb. Not as much as yeste

Well thanks for clearing up the multiplayer issue anyways. I just assumed (wrongly) that the metaverse was some form of online multiplayer capability. Sabre21
I must be living in some form of alternate universe. I now see my other thread covering these issues just got posted. So ignore this or the other. So far I can't repeat this in a medium universe with 5 AI opponents. The files are barely changing in size. Not sure what the deal is now. I'll try again tomorrow probably on another gigantic game. I don't see my other thread now, so here is a copy of both issues. I think it's too important not to post this. So if my other post appears the devs can either delete this or the other one. I deleted the first half since it is repeated above..the second issue is below. The second issue occured as a result of reloading the save game time and time again. When I first start a scenario that I might want to play again I always save it. So for the record, the starting savegame I am us
Ok..I didn't think this thread got posted and created another thread with this issue and a follow on problem which I think may be even a bigger issue. Hopefully it will post. Sabre21
Ok..I have 2 kinda big problems here..at least in my opinion they are. The first was found out by accident while the second was a result of the first. The first big issue pertains to a possible multiplayer cheat. I had landed a colony ship on a planet and received one of the planetary bonus options. I played a few extra turns and had to quit for a while. Not thinking, I quit the game without saving it. When I came back and loaded the game I was a couple turns prior to landi
I happen to come across part of the gameplay by accident that could end up being a multiplayer cheat. I had just landed a colony ship onto a planet and had one of the planetary options pop up, can't remeber what it was, but that's not the problem. I played a couple more turns and had to quit but thought I had saved it. When I restarted a couple hours later I was a couple turns before I had landed my colony ship. So when it came time to land it, just by chance a different
Well I have to say that I have had more enjoyment trying out this beta than I have had in any of the games I have purchased in the last 6 months including Civ 4 and AOE3. Sabre21
I'll start looking for those issues you mentioned, I haven't noticed them myself yet. But I do have an additional issue pertaining to loading saved games. I have a gigantic ongoing game with all 9 AI opponents that I have been playing off and on today for several hours. Today I had to stop on numerous occasions to take my dogs out, shovel snow, fix dinner..etc. So I saved the game sometimes just leaving it on my comp..other times shutting it down and reloading. I have no
I listed below a few problems I am currently having with the beta 4 version along with a few questions. 1. I use a Realtek HD audio on my computer with all the latest drivers and am not getting a peep of sound. I have tried adjusting and resetting the in game values with no luck what so ever. Can anyone confirm if the Realtek HD audio is supported yet? 2. The only real problem I have with the user interface is when trying to click a point on the minimap that is close to th
