"i gave her credit for her "1st 100 hours" deal...they did what they said, can't blast her for that, regardless of my views on the individual pieces of legislation." Heh, well, if you live in such a mythological world to believe that, there's not much hope in reasoning with you. It goes to show that all the Dems have to do is propose legislation or pass "preliminary versions" of legislation that was never intended to survive, and their drones will forgi

"Wow, in all the years I've been on this site I have never seen Baker like this." Because in all the years I've been here JU people haven't been this brazen and completely irrational about their hatefulness. People unflinchingly call the religion of over a billion people around the world "a cancer". That's the second or third time I've seen regulars here say that. If even a million people around the world actively worked toward your demise, yo

"Nambla is trying to mainstream pedophelia." Have you heard of anything recently? It's my understanding the group is basically defunct, just a website and a post office box that no one ever returns mail from. The only place I hear about them is on blogs. Just wondering what they are actively doing. "The sad part is that the ones being hurt, dont speak english. Or any other human language. So they cant speak up."</di

Here is the eternal loop your logic is stuck in, KFC. MacArthur says we have turned our backs on God by accepting homosexuality, looking at a lot of porn, yadda yadda, and God's "wrath" is abandoning the nation to its sin. We will remain in our abandoned state until we turn back to God, the byproduct being our children dying from hurricanes, volcanoes, and terrorism. BUT , we are filthy, evil creatures devoid of personal righteousness that can't reject sin

"I've been saying the same thing repeatedly. It's ok to say one is righteous....but not of oneself.....I am found righteous not because of what I've done, but all because of what he's done for me. But if I dare say it around here Baker, you call me a Pharisee or *gasp* the hate monger ........Phelps. Now ......you said this: " That has nothing to do with why I compare you to Phelps. That's why it is useless to debate it with you because you simply refus

P.S. This is an English comprehension test. I wonder how many American kids could pass a Chinese comprehension test. I wonder how parents here would react if their kids' future rested on a few percent on such. We refuse to even learn enough Spanish to order a hamburger, and the idea of tolerating billboards in Spanish makes us protest. Hell, I wonder what percent of High School kids could even friggin find China on a map, when many of them can't even find all of our own states.

IN America it doesn't matter if you fail your tests or not. You don't have to even graduate from college to become fabulously wealthy. In China, these kinds of tests have been a make-or-break proposition since Master Kung, well over a thousand years ago. "Across China, about 9.5 million students are taking the entrance exams, competing for 5.67 million spots. It will be the only chance for most of the students to get into a university." Hardly

lol, look at the pattern. I'm not obsessed, YOU are obsessed. It's not my crusade, it's the right's crusade. I'm not being petty, YOU'RE being petty. Take argument, deny it, restate it verbatim toward the opposition, mention Dick Cheney. No, nothing like Col Gene, what was I thinking, lol.

Like I said, it has nothing to do with how Liberal you are, just the insane need. There are a lot of Liberal bloggers who have something valid to say. Then there are bloggers that just reiterate everything that KO said last night and do junk like this because they feel such a need to dig at Republicans that they regurgitate a seven year old story that had nothing whatsoever to do with politics. And it isn't just the title. You reiterate the party emphasis more than once here, even im

"but you are totally righteous in all your political writing? puhlllleaaaasssseeeee!!!!!BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" A Col Gene reaction. You explode, use lots of exclamation points, and just restate the other argument in reverse dragging the same crap out again. In the end, you are sitting here with this steaming little article, and you can't really deny what's up there. It's petty and lame, and exemplifies your level of discourse. As time goes

What you don't understand is that the Col thing has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative. It is about reflex-level obsession. Go look at the 9/11 conspiracy theorists or the immigration obsessed, or the anti-war people, etc. They span many different levels of liberalism and conservatism, yet when they sink lower and lower they all look like the Col. You don't have to be liberal, you just have to be infatuated and negatively biased to the point that your opinions come off

No, I think people outside it are a little weirded out by how you are more and more looking like Col Gene, or by your almost romantic infatuation with Keith Obermann. You've not become more refined, you've just become more apt to run here after seeing some outraged pundit on TV. Look at the blog above, a seven year old case of a mayor gone bad, characterized as a "Republican scandal". The Col would be proud.

I don't come here just for Muslim discussions. I do have to tolerate people like Rightwinger flitting from blog to blog spreading lies though. It's kind of cute how you call what I posted hatred and not the constant whine of how Muslims are a threat to us. Tarring millions of people because of their religion is probably validated by the insanely small number of attacks by Muslims here in the US. I don't post here anymore, but I still browse the forums from time to time. You're right

"It was a probation violation for a DUI, Baker. It's a little different when probation violations enter the picture." Not when you look at the statistics of how people are sentenced. The person on the show I was watching said that Hilton's charge vs. sentence was almost unheard of in California for someone with her record. All the judge did was create a headache for the system. "yeah, the la freeway isn't congested e

You'd have to be dishonest or insane to look down your list of articles and not see where your focus lies. Look at this article, for heaven's sake. This guy has been in jail for 4 years, and you are still calling it a "Republican" scandal? There are several Dem issues with corruption in the news NOW, and where is your focus? Come on. This is so piddly assed. You have like a 1:10 or 20 ratio comparing articles critical of Reps verses Dems. This week there are several active stor

"but if we are vigilant about weeding out the bad apples, real bad apples, not just political enemies, it serves us all well in the long run. I'll be interested to see what you have to say about the host of Democrat "bad apples" that are sitting in office now. As a "Libertarian" I would hope you'd have as much or more ire for the party that made big promises and is currently doing little more than the people you spend all your time whining about...

Rightwinger won't apologize for being a liar any more than the rest of the hateful people on this site will admit to being bigots, plagiarists, etc. I find it hilarious that they have to lie to come up with Muslim threats, like the V Tech thing, when Dateline can catch dozens of "Christians" in a short span ready and willing to molest kids. Granted, though, they can call the V Tech shooting a "Muslim" crime, even when the guy didn't have a religious bone in his body, but if you call

I would have sworn that I was once told by someone that a corruption scandal by a Democrat wasn't necessarily a Dem scandal, it was just a scandal. Given the fact that this isn't about a national politician, or a state politician, or the fact that the crime had nothing to do with the carrying out of his office, etc., I'm surprised (not) that this is called a "republican" scandal. It could also be noted that he was arrested for this in 2001 , and convicted in 2003 , and had

I've read that driving on a suspended license rarely carries any jail time in California at all. If the taxpayers there want to pay extra to make a point about celebrities, whatever, but I'm willing to bet there are plenty of other more deserving people who they could put in that bunk. It's a no-win situation for the jail. That much attention, that much threat of legal retaliation by the Hilton family, all for a charge of driving without a license? The judge should have fined her a l

I know you acknowledged it, but lemme post it one more time: Matthew 5: " Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. So you would consider it "Godly" to go downtown and mock, say, unrepentant drunks sleeping in the park? Maybe you could go to an AIDS clinic and laugh derisively at the unrepentant dying. "As our King, He demands that our legislatures, laws, courts, schools, and even our hospitals, reflect Him and His Law and that they do not contradict it. For those who do, verses 2-4 tell of the consequence." So you'd agree that it would have been right to oppose the Catholic Church and the secular authority when they were burning Jews at the stake and selling indulgences, etc.? If so, the Reformation was probably a good thing, wasn't it? After all, i
