Umm thanks guys but I am well aware of the "Big Sign" This problem has been going on since the creation of Impulse
Am I alone in suffering continual errors with Impulse? The old Stardock Central was fairly reliable for me but since the move to Impulse, I've had nothing but issues. After installing the software and updating all my registrations, it continually finds some of my registrations "invalid", wont add or update - only partially downloads all the "My Colors" desktops and once I have them finally working, only loses them the next time I log in.. Sometimes I try to even start impulse,
I appreciate your help Here are the answers that I hope helps.. Video cards... I did upgrade to the latest whizzbang driver - but found compatibility problems with the last series of display drivers from NVidia so I have reverted back to older - mo
Well, from experience with the forums - usually someone asks for that info so I tried to save time - this was the info asked for previously when I posted my issue (on Desktop X) as I gave the system specs right off the bat but that wasnt wanted apparently Here's what you asked for - let me know if there is any other info you need... I love Stardock products - plus run the WinCustomize Browser and all up, I am one happy camper apart from one main issue that has remained with me right from the very first when I eagerly downloaded the Trial versions.... Desktop X and CursorXPPlus simply screw up my system. I posted a while back regarding this issue but no one ever could resolve it for me and yes, caches were deleted, programs uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. After rebuilding my PC, like the gentle

LOL!!! errr Zubaz does have a point there. Never thought of running DesktopX without WB *shudders^
WB and Icon Packager are definates - two of the main interests on the board. Would like to see either Widgets or Sysmetrix for the third
Sir Bichur - my version of Desktop is 3.1 I dont notice any issues after running any themes but the OS instability starts to appear with explorer.exe hanging - this deteriorates as time goes by and the more I use it Night Train - I have the latest drivers - I did have 77.7
I understand And yes, if I dont start on with DesktopX at all - then my PC is fine but I cant for the life of me figure out what I am doing with DesktopX that would cause these problems. I clear out my cache, dont load more than one ID or change it if I do... Pretty standard usage I would have thought <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smile
Yep Scorpio - always clear my cache as my first action if I have trouble but apart from keeping all my objects and widgets squeaky clean, it doesnt assist in preventing the corruption of explorer.exe Sir Bichur, I dont actually have any trouble running DesktopX - it isnt a cause and effect problem where if I use Joe Blogs widgets, my explorerer instantly craps out - it just seems to be a gradual deterioration into rebuild city unfortunately.
Sorry for the dramatic title but would love to get some help on this problem..Posted it on support but it hasnt given me any answers *sniffles pathetically* I've been having trouble with OS instability, mainly seems targeted on explorer. I found that if I just use WB - I have no issues, however once I start using DesktopX, XP becomes so unstable that I end up with a rebuild. I installed WB and DesktopX on my partners PC (he's running th

Having trouble with OS instability, mainly seems targeted on explorer. I found that if I just use WB - I have no issues, however once I start using DesktopX, XP becomes so unstable that I end up with a rebuild. I installed WB and DesktopX on my partners PC (he's running the new 64) and had exactly the same scenario play out. Just WB - no problems but as soon as DesktopX went on (and used) - same story and now he is looking at a rebuild <img src=
Nonsense. It's obviously a sub-space tachyon pulse generator creating an unstable wormhole - easily cured with a couple of strips of latinum Too many large scary words - it's fair doing my wee blonde head in! *cries* Happy place, where's my happy place...... <img src=
I have a hardcore popup blocker which works well - no ads at all... But if that didnt work for me, then I would definately subscribe just to get rid of ads as I loathe the things. Not trying to brown nose but sites do need money to run and Wincustomize is no different there. Pay up
