I am running x64. I updated WB5 and on reboot got only my wallpaper. Nothing else. I opened Task Manager and could not for the life of me figure out what happened. I reinstalled Windows only to have it happen again. But I tried running a new task, Explorer.exe. Everything loaded. I don't know why the new update does that, but it was allowing my wireless connection and system idle process was at 99%. I could not end that, so I tried this bold move.

Hi, Heike. You need to look for the ODNT_zapper link in "WindowBlinds will NOT skin.." thread. There you will find a link to that application in the middle of the page. Do not remove ACTIVATE.exe from the Stardock folder. Rather, copy it to the WindowBlinds folder. 1. Make sure WB is running. 2. Backup all your WB files . 3. Backup all your WB files. 4. I know this. Stardock will have it ready later this year. SDC was set to download EVERYTHING. I would not have let it do so if I knew that it was not for my OS. I just wanted to go back to WB4, but WB5 would also load and I would be back to the drawing board. It worked. I was just passing this on so maybe it will clear up the problem with those people with this x64 software. I bought it (x64). It's not a trial. I not uninstalling Object Desktop either.
This may not work for everybody, but the thing seems to work. I located the ACTIVATE.EXE in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\SDCentral. I copied it to the WindowBlinds folder. I reinstalled it and made sure it was running. I then ran the ODNT_zapper that one of you guys suggested I download(thanks for the link) and it asked what I wanted to uninstall. I checked both unload and uninstall WindowBlinds. Let me tell you, I WAS LOSING IT! Reboot. Reinst
