I did archive it, but it won't reload properly. I think I'll give it one more try with all my security turned off. If that doesn't work, I'll have to assume something was corrupted in the archiving process.
The re-size problem went away for me with 5.1, but now WB won't skin Mozilla Thunderbird and I'm getting a dancing screen when I print from Photoshop. I unstalled and re-installed to no avail. Went back to WB 4.6 and that seeems to work fine. Wish I could get back to the original 5.0.
I'm using AVK anti-virus which has 2 different sets of virus checkers. Istill have an active McAfee subscription that I can load and try instead. I've been shutting down both DesktopX and WindowBlinds to get a shutdown. Next time I have the problem, I'll try just one at a time and see if I can better isolate the problem. Thanks to all for feedback.
I recently purchased Object Desktop. When I load DesktopX and WindowBlinds, I am unable to shut down Windows XP properly. It just hangs on the "Saving Settings" step. Eventually, I get various errors loading and have to struggle to do a System Restore back to before I applied DesktopX and WindowBlinds. Anyone know what's causing this?
