well, here's my question. Building a new skin and I've run into a problem. The problem involves that chunk of grey (in my case) that appears over the "all programs" text when I mouse over to hit the buttton on the start menu. what is it? where is it? can I change it? I changed the background that overlays the shutdown/logoff buttons on the bottom bar of the start menu, but I cant seem to locate the one for proggy's. Another thing, the only reason i skinned the logoff overlay thing is b/

as in, how do I add them? i am working on my second and the buttons are thin and therefore unable to have a graphic representaion of what they do. I would like to implement a tooltip message on mouse over. I am using the newest skinstudio, and skinning for WB4 if that helps. thanks a lot.

I will have one up in a day or so called Technical Red to go with my updated SYSmet skin of the same name (Ttechred2 actually). It's my first attempt at it so give lots of advice when it comes out!

Are there any (GOOD) tutorials for 3ds or bryce for backgrounds? I've made some of my own in PS6 & 7, but they are lacking in depth. I'm becoming pretty good at textures, lighting etc. through my skinning of WB and sysmetrix as well as some simple backgrounds. I however need help with 3-D and such. Ideas anyone? thanks

What is with this "free scratch card" crap that this site uses as some sort of pop up ad/data miner? Why does it install it self onto my computer when I dont have my blockers running? I just ran ad aware 6 after this poped up while here on wincustomize and it installs a file in the registry from a vendor called FreeScratchCards labeled as "malware(?)". And 2 data miners ( 2 exe files ) installed in Temp internet files, and my downloaded program files. also a cookie which isnt that nig a deal.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if I could get some help with something. I am working on my first WB skin, am using the newest skinstudio, and I am having a bit of a problem. As far as I can tell, although i dont have WB4 yet, everything on my skin looks good. Except for the IE toolbars/explorer toolbars in general. 1) The thumbnails for 4 of my sysmetrix skins are all the same, yet when i hit the fix thumbnail button, i get a page error. how can i fix these? 2) working on my first skin for WB and I've run into a problem. I made new log off/ shut down buttons for the startmenu(bottom right) and although I have transparency enabled and the proper pink around the buttons, the are surrounded by a large black border. I'm a little new here but is there a way to get windowblinds theme to load up on restart? on my pc when i reboot, it goes back to default settings. just curious. thanks in advance.
