Well, we've only heard this request a dozen times. I'm sure someone is already working on it.

Not to mention the fact that they too need to have the Alliances tech. But that should go without saying.
I tend to name them after stuff like constellations, stuff I see in the night sky, or even just stuff that pops in my head. E.G. Valiant, Aurora, Orion, Hive, Conquistador, stuff like that. I try to avoid functional names in favour of names that sound good and that I feel fit the ship.
Give me a dyson sphere, and I'm happy.
Those aren't decals, they're the glow from the anti-matter torp launcher. Now, typically, I'm not a fan of such obvious weapons emplacement, but you can't argue with their brute force.
The ability to build starbases around class-0 planets would be handy. It would be great if these planets were resources instead of the current, floating around in space model. It would also be fun to be able to hide a fleet on one for camouflage-it would be an interesting tactical concept.
Explain sell? Maybe you should try increasing both your diplomatic ability and the planet quality.
The UI isn't that bad, as far as I use it. However, there is one thing that I recently noticed-when I send out ships with weapons on auto-exploration, they often run into other vessels and stations. The problem with that? When I'm allied or when the Trade Federation is in effect, I get this popup window that comes right back up ever single time I close it warning me not to attack it, and the only way out of it is either to disable auto-explore (if it's selected) or to just keep hitting escape un
What does that have to do with GalCiv2 Modding? Couldn't you just put this into the everything forum?
For your custom race, your homeworld name is the same as your system name. Because it doesn't have anything said to the contrary in the XML file as to what to name the other planets, then your entire homeworld system will share that name, just like in star systems.
Actually, the Nova class is miniscule-it would fall under the "small" category. Also, you finally converted my absolute favorite ship, the Prometheus! AWESOME!
Personally, all I'd like is the ability to upgrade my opening Flagship from the fairly weak beginning survey ship to a huge, god-ship. But that's just asking for too much, isn't it? Just the ability to mark a ship as being a flagship would be great-like in the Federation from Star Trek, a flagship is given the very best crew on a ship of the very best class available at the time. Why not make it so marking a ship as the flagship gives it some bonus power?
This thing is awesome! My only complaint? When I downloaded the XML it had the Large and Huge blanks as one of my race's Large or Huge hulls! It was a mistake in the XML file, which I fixed. But still, I've gotta say, this thing rocks! It's the sorta thing that you'd think Stardock would have made built-in.
At random points during the game, my mouse cursor freezes. I mean the little pointy thing. However, oddly enough, I can still interact with the computer, just with an invisible cursor as the real cursor just hangs out on-screen. It also reacts to other things where the cursor should change, like becoming a little I over text input areas. However, it still never moves. I have to restart the computer to get rid of it.
