I REALLY like that idea. I have no icons on my desktop, but would like to find out how this was done. One would think it wouldn't require an actual program, but what do I know........... I hope to hear more on this!
http://gimp-savvy.com/BOOK/ I am new to Gimp myself, so thought I would send you this link. I have been spending alot of time here, has just about everything. Good Luck!
Insanity = the same behavior over and over again with the expectation of different results. excerpt from 28 Days
I like the variety of the news here, a bit of this and a bit of that. Keeps us in touch with what newsworthy events are happening outside of skinning. I am always interested in other programs, new releases, and the like.
For those of you with XP and Gimp, is the windows installer an obsolute necessity? Or do I go with the most stable version? I have downloaded the installer, but haven't loaded it yet. Awaiting your responses...........thanx for the tips I have received already!
I see that Gimp has a version for windows, for those of you who use Gimp, is it compatable with XP, the website fails to mention it specifically.
T-1 burp? Sorry

oops......graphics, not grachics
Had me looking for sports gear for a minute WiseOldMan.
From time to time I have noticed a reference to GIMP, a grachics program. I realize it is an open source program, and am curious about it. I would like to bring the topic up to the community. Rants? Raves? I currently run XP Pro and am interested in getting my feet wet with the creative side of things? Any thoughts on this program?
I heard about Gimp here in another thread, what is the opinion of the community on this program? I have XP Pro. Is Gimp compatable with XP?
I would like to make a suggestion, rather than clicking on the preview item and having it open another window and scrolling up/down and back/forth to view, why not just have the image resize in the preview window itself?
(so small, had no room for the "d" above................)
....guess this saves on bandwith, huh?
I get 'em....about the size of a postage stamp
oops.................upgrading, not "yugrading"
WOW....I was about to give up on this "post", thinking that....well, no one was interested. I haven't DL'd yet, but am going to retrace my steps and look into it again. Thanks Poddytat for your interest, am anxious to hear back from you. Hey SlowNeasy, appreciate your response, do you plan on "yugrading" in the near future? I would also be interested in your opinion. Thanks for the posts guys............good things come to those who wait.
