okay, maybe 150k is a bit steep [e digicons]:|[/e] But in all honesty, i do think that even at 3x the price the capis will be far too cheap and unbalancing, leading to a need to reduce their effectiveness. I have been thinking and the best i can come up with is having the capitals require research... Something like the reliant (i've totally forgotten what class she was) could be built straight-away, using crusaders, and later research can

Does anyone remember the moment in starlancer when the minsk was about to destroy the reliant and the yamato got there just in time, spewing the ronin out of her hangers and smashing the minsk with her anti-cap batteries and torps? I'm working on a mod at the moment by myself just for friends, but i'd love some support and perhaps even if there's an experienced modding team out there we can pick it up. Purpose? To add dozens of new types of strike craft and make capitals rea
Dont get me wrong Eve online is a fantastic MMO and the risks are amazing but only use what you can afford to loose. Dont think that people dont feel bad for loosing their very best ship since those are the kind you cant afford to loose . If you want to pvp find a good corp to back you up with ships and money for some good turf wars .
When I end up in empire space for a few day

eve online is a brilliant mix, and unlike all other mmo's you are not stacked against in a way... if you go toe to toe against a tech2 battleship in your cruiser, dont expect to come out victorious, BUT if you go toe to toe with a t2 battleship in your frigate fitted with jammers scrammer and web, bring him to his knees and stop him from escaping while your friends turn up, then you win. The necessary skills required are few, and really only about a week of training, but don

that's all very well, but you'd probably have to put up a secondary research prerequisite to make it rare enough..... if you applied a security status to the maps and made them in galforge, you could have 0.0 systems with a capturable building that's the prerequisite for t2, but instead of granting resources like an asteroid colony, it subtracts a good portion of resources like a pos:- these systems should also be heavily defended by pirates. Not only does gaming history show that unprotected games simply lead to more piracy recent history also demonstrates clearly that simply removing DRM is not the answer to piracy. As we saw in the Scale of Piracy section, many popular games which have no intrusive DRM, such as Assassin's Creed, Crysis, Call of Duty 4 and World of Goo, also have some of the highest piracy rates in 2008
wtf are you trolling about? You have no idea sunshine, 1)

true true.... I hate to admit it as i'm a chimera pilot at heart but in eve I took the time to train up the minmatar skills for the recon/hac's as they are really superior to the caldari for pvp in small engagements... the drake ftw over the ferox tbh, but yeah. -Comorant? ohh, you mean the salvage boat :D I'm just going through the strings file atm to see if I cant get some eve feeling from it... &nbsp

I must admit that personally I'm a legit-pirate, one of the rare ones. I obtained a pirated copy of sins, enjoyed it and bought it. The same with many games, such as halflifde 2, cod4, cnc3, ra3 and many others back in history. The best thing software developers have done is limit the multiplayer capability of games with validation, not copy protection. You cant stop piracy, but too many times people have bought games that turned out the be absolute s***.&n

x me up, I'll start having a look at caldari ships as they are mostly missile based anyway... exceptions are rokh (sniper railguns) and the smaller t2 hybrid frigates. -edit "Sins of new eden" anyone?
