Wow. I'm not sure what is so difficult about this. If $5 is too much, don't buy it. The good news for Stardock is that these people obviously aren't going to spend money anyway so should they leave then that's just one less bandwidth leech.

You're not a subscriber to WinCustomize and never have been. So what are you talking about? Being an OD subscriber has nothing to do with WinCustomize. When you bought Object Desktop you purchased a software product. That software product, i.e. the one that regularly wins Editor's Choice Awards, has seen significant fr

I'll add my voice to the people expressing dissatisfaction with the way it appears all resources have been put toward GalCivII. I've been an OD subscriber for five years but I've now let it lapse: I'm tired of paying and not seeing any updates or news.

Aufisch: Yeah, I gave them the details. I did get another reply from the same support person later today that shows he actually read my problem. No solution, but he is going to check it out too. Hopefully they can add some sort of detection for apps that do their own graphics and ignore them rather than try to compete with them for painting. Onfolio is aware of the problem but only a few people have mentioned it to them so while they may try t

Thanks for assumption that I'm completely oblivious "scorpio". I'm telling you, in IE and Firefox both, I don't have that ANYWHERE. When doing a page search for "search" gets nothing, it's safe to say IT'S NOT THERE. On the left I have the first block: Forum Options with menu items: Forums Home, Submit New Post, My Posts followed by the block: Recent Forum Posts. I do not have any search box, as I said. [Edi

The search option is on your left hand side (scroll down a bit). Enter your search word and choose 'Forum' from the dropdown list. I honestly don't have that. I even searched the page for "search" just to make sure I wasn't being an idiot. Thanks for the reply!

Okay, apparently the email support team isn't going to be able to provide any assistance. Hopefully the masses have something to offer. Here's what I emailed earlier: ------------------------------- This is a problem I noticed some time ago doing a trial of Onfolio with WB4.5 (or earlier). I had forgotten it and just purchased Onfolio and it still happens with the latest WB5.0 betas as well. Appar

Except that without the availability of content to be downloaded, OD is useless. If Wincustomize.com didn't exist I wouldn't be a continued OD customer personally. I'm another user who doesn't see any enticement from the $20 WC subscription package. I don't need a personal page and don't care about skinning the site. Premium skins would be the only real benefit for me. Now, if it's getting close to the 2000 mark I'll probably subscribe to contribu

I've heard of Synergy before, but I use Win2VNC to do the same thing (other than actual file copy/paste functions, but network shares solve that). I'm already running VNC on all systems anyway so Win2VNC just connects to that.

Carpe: Always timeshifting is easily disabled in the config. It's in the Web Admin page (http://localhost:8129) so you may not have found it. As far as video quality, I have mine configured were I can't tell the difference between live TV and recorded TV on a properly calibrated 32" Wega.
