The search option is on your left hand side (scroll down a bit). Enter your search word and choose 'Forum' from the dropdown list. I honestly don't have that. I even searched the page for "search" just to make sure I wasn't being an idiot. Thanks for the reply!

I've heard of Synergy before, but I use Win2VNC to do the same thing (other than actual file copy/paste functions, but network shares solve that). I'm already running VNC on all systems anyway so Win2VNC just connects to that.

Carpe: Always timeshifting is easily disabled in the config. It's in the Web Admin page (http://localhost:8129) so you may not have found it. As far as video quality, I have mine configured were I can't tell the difference between live TV and recorded TV on a properly calibrated 32" Wega.
