Thanks much to the folks who tried to help me. I ended up uninstalling everthing and rebuiding the registry after deleting all of the leftover keys. Not sure what was the ultimate culprit but I'm back up and running. Still not sure as to root cause of the system restore problem - need to run that one down. No viruses or spyware were detected and the system is set to

I upgraded several programs recently, including WB5, etc. and now my machine won't fully boot. It goes thru POST but does not complete the process of going through the startup. I can boot into safe mode and have disabled all startup programs as a test, but still can't fully boot in normal mode. For some reason I don't have any restore points so that isn't an option. I can bring up msconfig and have tried stopping services but no good. Any ideas would b
