Any program that you use on your computer is going to use up some system resources... Disabling the built in theme manager is a great way to free up some system resources for windows blinds. From what I have seen on my system, it would appear that windowblinds uses the same amount of system resrouces as windows will use for its own theme manager.

If the author of the skin offers a way to contact them you may want to ask them what they use for a screensaver. Searching Google is a good way to find lots of screensavers, but also a good way to find lots of spyware, adware, and (the worst of all) viruses. I would recommend going to places like download.com. Look on other websites like this to see if they have screensavers with full descriptions of the screensaver and what all you are getting into by useing their screensaver (nagware, adwa
