As a bonus, we have provisional support for Windows 7 in this build, including its wallpapers.
Yeah I was surprised that Seven support was not mentioned earlier in the piece given the logon layout is virtually identical to Vista.
Another is ice melting as a steady drop from a cube. The loop is well done. Camera shakes a little on this one which could have been fixed by motion tracking in After Effects. The camera shake deducts from the score...4 out of 10.
The camera shacking is just path-e-tech can MS not afford a tripod. As for the sounds they are probably better than the standard Vista sounds but to call them an extra is pretty week and they'll be all over the net in no time - didn't previous versio
If you already have Object Desktop components installed, then you don't need to do anything. Just check Stardock Central, or Impulse, for regular updates to the applications.
Are we meant to be able to download impulse?
Just a couple of days ago someone here was saying in very few words how difficult programing for Vista is.
Considering someone in MS development claimed it took a day to compile every new release + they had to move additional staff to work on getting SP1 out because the original release was so bad I can understand this

It would be nice if Microsoft started doing something for Ultimate users. I mean those language packs were of huge benefit to everyone weren't they? With Stardock making dreams available to all Vista users Ultimate is just a huge expense for running Remote Desktop on top of Home Premium! I'm glad I cut a deal and only had to shell out for an OEM copy.
It's kind of pointless for me because I already have Ultimate with 1.0 so what is the advantage... I said it's OK because it has a few 3d tweaks I guess
Me to and now the only difference between it and home premium for me is that it has remote desktop :( I'm glad on only had to pay OEM cost to get it

When I plug my HTC Touch into Vista it gets a nice icon in My Computer, Since I can't find any png's to use in my dock I'm wondering where I can rip the icon from? Theirs no HTC software installed it would have to come from Windows Mobile Centre or whatever it's called
This is great news for all Vista users wanting to run animated wallpaper! I hope to see an increase of user created dreams when this comes out!
Bit of a kick in the teeth for Ultimate users though who were meant to get "extra" benefits for buying the top of the line package, if someone finds a way to enable remote desktop into Home Premium that pretty much voids the need for Ultimate for 90% of people. I'm sure glad I got an OEM just for buying a HDD! It just boggles

The black looks OK, but the white/transperant looks to much like a toy. I'm waiting on this from Microsoft for my home PC and use a Logitech 3200 at work, both not only look good but add more features to the board and are more comfortable
