Elfkura, I wasn't referring to you. You explained your reasoning. I've seen you around for years. Enjoy your title. Paxx knows where I'm coming from. He explained it perfectly. Earning your title and flaunting your title are 2 different things. But to each his own.

Yes, it's time to start bashing Robohead. He thinks on a different level than us. I stand by my earlier statement. I don't need a title. I don't want a title. There was a time when even Paxx felt that way (back before he became an admin). That's me. It's obviously not you guys. Carry on.

This entire thread is silly. Why should anybody care if somebody is an apprentice or a journeyman? In my opinion, those who wear their title in front of their nicks do so because they need an ego boost. I'm not talking about the "Sirs" or "Developers" or "Skinners" or whatever, just the 'official' titles like "Master Apprentice", "Journeyman", "Master", etc. The entire point behind the titles is silly. Just be who you are. Go by your nick. Don't flaunt your status (unless you're an admin). Do yo

This obviously isn't skin related, but since there people here that are very knowlegible in networking, I thought I would give it a shot. I want to be able to connect to the internet with my laptop computer using a wireless networking kit. Is it possible to have a wireless laptop computer with only a wireless router and wireless PC card? No other computer will be connected to the router a

Animation was added to the new version (v. 2). It can be disabled or activated, but I don't think you can toggle it on/off with a button yet. It needs to be done in the configuration box. Download the latest version and play aroound with it. I'm sure you can make it work the way you want. If not, you can always improvise.

If you bought Object Desktop, you need to DL "Component Manager", install it, fill out the user info area and type in your serial number there. Then you click on "Available Components" and you will see a list of all the downloadable programs (including WindowBlinds). These versions do not need a seperate serial number as they are only available thru Object Desktop. P.S. I would un-install the shareware version of WindowBlinds first before I install the new version though. You won't need

Ok, I just read Frogboy's last post after I posted and he explained a bit more in depth how the whole thing might work. But since most WB skins are fairly complete when they're uploaded, how about having a seperate 'Community WB' library where you can upload just parts of a WB skin as mentioned? Just a thought.

I guess I need to clarify. I never meant it was ok to upload a port 'without permission'. I wasn't saying rips are ok. What I meant most skin authors don't mind having their work ported to another app. Something that they maybe don't use, so therefore don't skin. It's nice to see somebody likes your work enough to want more apps with your theme. Permission is still a must. On the other hand, changing your WB skin (or any skin you've already uploaded) is different in my opinion. You're t

I agree with starone. Changing or adding to a skin to fit your personal tastes is just that, 'personal'. Do it for yourself. I see no reason to upload it. A skin author may not want to add every feature known to mankind to his/her skin. That doesn't mean it's not complete. And also as Hippy mentioned, there is a quality issue to keep the skin on at least the same level it was on before the update. Porting a skin to another app is entirely different. That's something that most s

You may want to start with something a little easier. WindowBlinds is a bit involved and takes even an experienced skinner quite a while to complete. But if you're gung ho and want to dive into it, the only 'tutorial' I'm aware of is here: http://www.windowblinds.net/skinning/ Have fun.

graphicLight, hmmm....not sure what happened. It is included in the 'Toon-XP_thememanager.exe' file that we all downloaded. I extracted all of the idividual themes from that file for quick access later, but it showed up in my Icon Packager list on the first install. All I can suggest would be to try installing the theme again or extract the themes like I did.
