Saved Games do not 'save' game settings. I saved a locked teams game and when it reloaded I got spam missions from the AI.

Where is my massively improved AI? Where are the groveling empires begging for mercy? 6 games down since I updated and not a single surrender only total annihilation. How about AI that doesnt retreat every single time I jump into their system? My 3 Cap's and 20 or so Frig's scare off 5 enemy Cap's and no less that 100!!!!! Frig's???? After these 2 letdowns the rest is all icing on the cake. No pirate options now means "Oh hey we're still here being a p.i.t.a. roa

Any attack on AI ships will reduce your relations to 0%. In those instances where you manage to form a trade agreement that doesnt last long, its because your defenses are attacking the AI trade ships. The only way to counter this is to set your defenses to standby and hope to forge a cease-fire with the desired player. Diplomacy needs a major overhaul no doubt about it.
