Almost everything that's created and uploaded here is for improving the human/pc interface experience, more SS's are uploaded than any other catagory and the ultimate purpose of all the enhancements is to make the desktop look better. First of all, i'd like to say that it was inevitable that WC would evolve into a truly 'commercial' entity at some point. The idea that eventually you have a critical mass of ppl who regularly visit the site and download stuff to change the look of their PC's, Laptops, etc represents an established market waiting to be exploited. I recently posted an SS Called 'Wild Thing' which i believe has caused a revealing of certain inequities and predjudices that had been only hinted at before. The shot was first rated as a 3 star(Ok, i could live with that) but then 'someone' with the power to vote dropped it down to a 1 star and it was no longer visible.
