lol...yep...I know that threat only to well Dave re trying to treat a member of the family to customizing on their respective PC....with regard to my lap upgrade in the summer, I went from a Dell Latitude W2K to a Toshiba Satellite XP & man, the driver problems;my old faithful effective security system from my ISP was causing my CPU to run @ 100%/24/7 but took me a month of elimination after suffering those cursed blue crash screens demanding I verify

hmmm Daiwa....this explains why when I enabled my FX on my second Lap since purchasing the app in the Spring of '04 for my Dell Latitude & subesquently on my Toshiba Satellite I get an error msg & the cursed blue crash screens saying a.) drivers not verified & b.)in FX it states my current video card will not allow for the 'accelleration'& to disable 'hardware accelleration' - after having done that FX does work better but will freeze windows up if I

By God Civic, you are nothing if you aren't articulate, logical, fairminded & patient. I am sure Neil will prevail & get those 'bugs' worked out. For now, I am going to wait & see but where I just upgraded my Dell Laptop to a state of the art Toshiba Satellite Lap in June, I am not of the mind to upgrade the video card to support the 'hardware accelleration' required of WB5.

Now and then people can tend to get a wee bit feral and Lord-of-the-flies-ish, so it helps to have someone there to whack heads, slit nostrils and utilise their size tens as suppositories.... Beautifully summed up in an original Australian way lol...do remember that if certain salutations are used in

Hey Civic : Your list of "flaws" would be enough for me to rid myself of it & stick w 4.6, which is what I have done - and yes the 4.6 does work flawlessly & does add to the appeal, enjoyment & functionality of my lap - it would seem 5 was rushed to release too soon - once perfected it will move the 'state of the art' of interface to a higher level - FX hasn't had an update since last Spring & it too has some bugs - DX is perfect th

yes Aaron, I have toured & participated amoungst most of the most popular skinning sites, & yes, WC probably does conduct itself the best & is the most useful & state-of-the-art - warts & all; Customize.org came across as really the most uncivilized, hateful & vicious amoungst the group - they give new meaning to 'trailer park' - I can see why Jafo is necessary to keep the vicious & uncivilized in line - a mod inspiring fear like that is akin to

if you insist, but you do come across as arrogant & facetious - regarding this incident & others of lack of Stardock Support & buggy apps, please refer to this blog; http://www.iampariah.com/blog/2005/07/an-open-letter-to-stardock-the-silent/

Hey Civic98: you certainly present a compelling & thought provoking set of facts in this app misfunction here.......well articulated & food for thought for sure as your lap is built for durability & functionality

mucho gracious Tycus & Maddox...it really does boost a hardwired DSL @ 10mbs to something close to my wi-fi @ 50mbs;had to manually edit the registry as the notepad thing didn't take but Maddox's roadmap was pretty clear to simply run "regedit" then open the appropriate reg key, add the new subfolder & change the value to Maddox's...excellent work on this heads up dudes

thx for bringing this topic to the mainstream Craig;Screenshots serve a very helpful purpose in showcasing skins & apps by many artists as it would be rare to use everything from one artist;ie.Sys Skin, Object Dock icons, DX Objects, Widgets - a screeshot last summer on a Vista Desktop showcased a Samurize WinAmp that has never been surpassed - a great venue for the cross pollination of ideas - they also show how differently we arrange our deskto

Wow Paladin....convenient for you to be able to call Tech....most current customers must deal with a 48 hr turnaround via e-mail for backup support & troubleshooting & even those intructions sometimes fail to recover the buggy app

I am doubtful anything I would submit would rank that low Cyber........if so, another numerous incidence of bad PR on this site....if so inclined you may view it on Skinbase; simply do a search for "logo_encarta" in Logons....no, it truly isn't posted to the archives in any fashion as it still doesn't appear in my account "Skins" list.........& yeah, there was a time that one could set account lowest ratings to view to "0"....I always preferred that be

I can relate Cyberworld.....don't know what happened to the turnaround of between 1 & 5 hrs.....a friend of mine who is a graphic designer went thru some very weird approval process for days on end for some simple U.S. & Canadian Bank pngs leaving a very bad impression as a new participant to this site........get this.........my logon skin upload has been pending for 3 days....has been successfully uploaded & viewed that long on Skinbase.....did them t
