The Real JillUser (In case you didn't already know)

The time has come where I feel the need to be totally open about who I really am.  It has never really been a true secret but I never used real names before and was cautious about what I blogged about.

The reason I started blogging with an assumed name is because I wanted to see how I did on my own merits.  I didn't want any unearned fans or enemies due to who I am associated with.  Also, it has been kind of fun being Jill.

Most of you here have seen pictures of me and my family whether you knew it or not.  Some of you figured it out long ago but went along with honoring my anonymity.  I thank you for that.

So, my real name is Debbie Wardell.  Yep, I'm Brad's wife.  I'm Alex and Ryan's mom.  Now I can use names instead of saying "my husband" "my 9yr old" or "my 5yr old".

Brad and I will probably both be blogging about similar family subjects coming up.  That is another reason I figured I would "come clean".  I hope this doesn't change anyone's opinion of me (for the worse anyway ;)).

Wow...maybe I've been hiding under a rock or something, but I didn't know that. And no, it doesn't change my opinion about you. I see you as a sensible, well thought out, friendly blogger...and I will continue seeing you in that light.

Only in that we see more of you and despite (or because of) that, we still come and read.
You just come out and show as much of yourself as you feel comfortable with. I like to think of JU as a community of friends, anyway. Other than the flame-warriors on the political and current events sides of the house...

I see you as a sensible, well thought out, friendly blogger

As do I. Keep the articles coming!

Even though I didn't give it too much thought, I always kinda guessed at you being Brad's wife, just because of certain things you've written in the past hinted heavily at it. Kinda cool to have it confirmed

I don't know about others here, but this "revelation" doesn't impact my view of you or your writing. I enjoy reading what you write and hope you keep at it! Who we are in "real life" isn't quite as important here as how we present ourselves and how we act, and you've always presented yourself very well.

Of course not. Like coming "out" if you were gay!

*Gasp*!  *Horror!*  How could you deceive me this way?  Oh...wait...I know you in real life....never mind. (Brad is my boss in case anyone didn't know that...)

MM knew this, but appreciates the whys and wherefores of "hiding" your true Identity.

Now it's really out in the open.

Debbie wardell is the secret identity of JILLUSER!!!

WOW!

I did NOT see that one coming. It all adds up though! Wonder why I never made the connection before?

Well, I have to say, my opinion of Brad has gone WAAAAY up (not to imply that it was horrible to begin with, haha)! What a smart guy, marrying a girl like you! Hehe.

Like Zoomba, I kind of figured it out by the way Brad seemed to be very protective of you, and the name was kind of a give away.  But it is nice to meet you!

And to think all these years I couldn't tell your true identity. Must have been the glasses, Mr. Kent.

That I will do singrave.

Kinda cool to have it confirmed

I figured that might be the case for some. Thanks Zoomba.

Yeah, cuz that never changed a person's relationship

*Gasp*! *Horror!* How could you deceive me this way?

Cute. Thanks for playing along all this time.

Wait a minute...Statue of Liberty..that was OUR planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!

I had a suspicion that you might've known Brad in real life--but married to him...never would've have guessed it...

Hehe.

I suspected something along this lines because of the username. I was thinking sister, but hey! You can't be 100% right 100% of the time. I'll settle for 100% correct 25% of the time.

I must have been having a "blond moment" cause I never saw it coming!
Doesn't change anything for me, not on this side of the fence

Dharma has you linked on her blog as "Mrs. User". I think I had it figured out a really long time ago...

Even if I hadn't it wouldn't change that I like reading you. ~shrugs~

Who let you out of your cage?! Weirdo!

had a suspicion that you might've known Brad in real life--but married to him...never would've have guessed it...

I never lied about anything shades, so it was probably easy to see that I knew him but I never gave away any unneccessary details.

I was thinking sister
for future reference, he's an only child.

I must have been having a "blond moment" cause I never saw it coming!

I don't think you need to be blond to have not seen it Trudy.

hmmm, was it Muggaz who spilled the beans on your identity to me way back in the day??

I think Muggaz and a couple others had blogs suggesting who I was. I didn't deny it, I just didn't comment

I think I said recently that you're one of the rare folks on JU that can disagree with me without being disagreeable, and that opinion still stands, Jill. Err, Debbie. Errr, Mrs Draginol. (or is he "mr. jill"?)

Glad to hear it LW. You of all people know that sometimes people find out something about you and let it cloud how they read what you write from then on. (I like Mr. Jill )

Dharma has you linked on her blog as "Mrs. User".

I thought that probably gave it away to a lot of people who were paying attention. Dharma and I have exchanged emails for a long time now. She is another confidant who was kind enough to play along.

it wouldn't change that I like reading you

Thanks a lot Marcie.

I have been pretty sure about this fact since I first e-met you here, but I don't think it ever affected the way I thought about you or your writing. You do great on your own and, for me at least, I don't see anything changing with this 'revelation'. I'll keep on reading.

I love that term! Can I steal it?

Thank you much BlueDev.

Wow...I guess I don't pay attention that well either.

Good to meet you again. You know I saw that on Dharmas blog, but thought it was just cause you were here since the beginning, which of course you were.

Anyway, I don't think I can think of you as any other name than Jill though.

No problem. I've gotten used to being referred to as Jill.

That makes sense now. I'm surprised I didn't figure it out before. Now I see all the clues that I ignored, just like reading a good mystery novel. So what made you decide to "come out" as it were? Were you tired of living a double life? The next thing we know we'll find out that you're not really a SAHM but a secret agent like on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. It doesn't change my opinion of you at all. Thanks for sharing.
