desktopx help

I cant work out how to make desktopx work i have downloaded many skins but every time i get 1 i cant use the media player or shoetcuts .

how do i register the media player to what it is suppose to do and make the task bar and system tray work?

In SDC (the Stardock Browser) I think you have to have the SDMCP enabled for the systray to work (maybe it affects taskbar too, I don't know) -- not all of the audio player objects/widgets are set up for WMP but seem to be set up for WinAmp or the DX Player.

Most shortcuts can be reconfigured in the Builder moder - right click systray icon, choose builder - don't forget to save

Thank you for all your help i know im gonna sound like a real noob.

But how do i save half way through and how do i get to the sdc?

If you have it, it should be in your 'all programs' list, in the Stardock links - I have mine pinned to the start menu

If you purchased any of the software you should have received a link to dl the SDC browser - it's what's used to update the programs. Once open, look in tools, settings, general (i think).

In builder mode you should have the options to 'save desktop' which can be done after any changes - you can also either save with original name (which modifies the original) or with a new name which leave the original as was.

I haven't used the one from download.com., but the page there says there are no limitations so I'm guessing it's a so many days trial version. Can't tell if it comes with a builder mode.
