My opinion

If you have 0 to 2 people on your blacklist you are at least open to dissenting views.

3 to 5 you are starting to exhibit "liberal closed mind" a dread disease that allows no opinion but your own or your clones to count.

6 to 8 you should be writing for yourself because you have not a clue how to play in the sandbox with others.

9 and 10 Go to the shrink and find out why you are such an ass.

11 or more. Why are you here idiot child?

Like Zoo, I seem to tollerate my blogging peers and have 0 on my blacklist. I must admit though, one blogger here grades at my last nerve, but I can still tollerate said person.

(and don't worry it's not you or zoo!)

Good topic I was wondering about myself these weeks. Luckily you still allow me to be in the lowest or best category. The only 2 names are 1 guy anyway. On the other hand, I am new, so I was worried at first. WC and JU are big, though. Now that Draginol has done and planned some changes, I hope that will deter some folks worth BLing for a while. On other forums and sites I have no problems yet, even if opinions differ or misunderstandings occur.

It is a tricky decision without a guarantee for doing the right thing. Think you handled that well yourself a short while ago. In any case turning into a worry wart because of such things fast is exaggerating. That is why I did always engage in other sites too, it does not seem that hard to get up into your more questionable categories blacklisting more later on.

Would be neat to be able to see all sites where I am blacklisteed. Do not know of any yet, would not necessarily be surprised.

Nobody's blacklisted on my blog, but people have been in the past. Never more than one at a time, though.

There are a couple of people I have blacklisted in the past, but then I noticed that they never come to my blog anyway. I guess I end up butting heads in other people's blogs more than my own. ;~D

And your opinion just "might be" wrong! I have 6. But of course 3 of them are DSH and SPM along with the one female that's on yours. Of the remaining 3, one is a retaliatory b/l. He did me and then I did him in return. Something about "rednecks".

ah doc there are exceptions to all rules and besides you have special dispensation.

Nope...actually most people get along with the person I speak of. I have also tried to get along with this person, but they just leave sandy comments whenever they stop by my blog. Who would ever blacklist dharma? She's like the friendliest person ever....

Zero here.

When I do blacklist someone, its always temporary, though some remain there longer than others.

as you know I have tried to get along with drab, no longer.

Havent BL anyone yet, I just haven't bothered. I suppose if I did, I would be too courious to figure out what they want to say next. Isn't that like the train wreck mentality or something? *L*

Actually, I have three on my current blacklist. In my defense, however, one is permanent simply as a defense against their possible recurrence under the same ISP...and it's nothing about intolerance, but about deliberate deception.

Otherwise, my blacklist is far from permanent, and never about intolerance but rather various other reasons. I'm neither fair nor balanced, and I sometimes have to put duct tape over the mouths of a few who haven't figured that out, among other reasons

I don't know how many people I have on my list but the longer you're posting, the more people you likely have on your list.

Good point, draginol.

Actually, for the record, I misspoke. But I guarantee you every name but one on my list would be a name that most JoeUsers would agree with (it's still not a long list, really). And that one name is still on "time out".

Another point to add to Brad's, though, is the more visible you are, the more trolls you attract. One of my blacklistees is a troll that began permeating my threads with useless personal attacks until I decided to wash my hands of him (her?). AndI am quite certain that Brad has, over the years, attracted SEVERAL such trolls.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know if your on someone's blacklist?

You don't get the option to comment on their threads.

yes it is a mental trainwreck, but sometimes better to blacklist than wreck the same train over and over again.
