Grab a 12 guage and shoot the WindowsME CD. Then urinate on it. Then burn it.

Windows ME is the Microsoft bastard love child. Don't ride the fence. Go buy XP Home Edition. If you are on a "beer budget", you might consider 2000. But please, avoid ME (windows me, of course).

Yeah, Bash....don't waste your time with ME, it's one bad OS and you're better off going with XP until Vista comes out proper.

A friend told me some time back that his company went with ME for a while and had never ending trouble wih it, spending literally thousands on IT personell before realising they were better off ditching it.

Why did it want you to skip a file? What was the message you where presented with?

"windows couldn't read the file driver.cab you can skip the file or end setup."

that's what it said.

By the way WIN ME never gave me trouble until when i was 9-12 years old then i never had a problem

That probably means that the spawning period is over. Windows CE will come out of your stomach in a violent bloody explosion while you are asleep. Then it will ravage the globe...

YES IT WAS!
Windows 98 was better and far more stable.
Nothing is truely compatible with ME
It was so bad that MS never even seriously supported it.
ME leaks information.
