i cant change the name

hey, this may be a simple and utter stupid (on my behalf) question, but i cant rename my zip file to take the zip off, it only renames everything behind the .zip

could this b because it has already found the program to open the file with?

Try clicking on "Tools" then select "Folder Options", click on the "View" tab and scroll down and un-check "Hide extensions for known file types" then click the "Apply" button. This should solve your problem.
