Maximizing over taskbar !?!

After unloading desktopx, whenever I maximize a window, it takes up the entire screen, including the taskbar/startmenu. This is really annoying, I wish I never got this program, but I did. So if any one knows how to fix this problem, please help me, it's driving me insane.

Right click on taskbar, select properties, on taskbar tab check Keep the taskbar on top of other windows.
