od+

a few things with my object dock plus. i would realy appreciate if someone could help me as i couldnt find this in the forum or in google searches.

1. drop and drag, i use macs at collage, they have a dock which is standard on those systems, when for example i want to open a .jpg in photoshop, i would drag the file over the dock icon for ps and then it would open in that. is this possiable in object dock? if not it would make a good future feature.

2.shutdown in dock. i am currently using a tabbed dock which was standard. i havent figured out how to make it so i can shutdown from the dock. i use the dock instead of the windows start bar.

3. weather. ive looked around and found that if i put my code ASXX0016 (brisbane, australia) it will try connect but fail. i am using cable internet through a router which i havent had a single problem with, but i dont know if it could be from that.

thank you in advance. hopefully someone replys.

dandfx,

I have limited good news to offer.

1 = Not supported yet, I agree, it would be a great feature.

2 = I do not use shutdown on dock, but here is something from the docklets library that might work Link

3 = The weather should work, I used the code you left and my weather docklet updated to Brisbane, Australia right away. I run on cable modem through a Linksys router, so I would agree that it should not be a router issue, unless you have specialized port settings that interfere. If you can access www.weather.com with your browser, then it may be either the docklet itself, or possibly an Anti-Virus issue.

Note - I am running most recent OD+ Version 1.11.518u.

All of Corky_O's advice is perfectly valid (as usual ). The only thing I've got to add re weather & being in Australia (Sydney) is that the weather.com site is really quite flakey from here. It's not uncommon to fail to get data for days on end.

I've basically given up on weather widgets and just look out the window .
