Problems since 1.01

With the first beta version I just had some problems, where Multiplicity seemed to have lost connection and had to be stopped via Ctrl-Alt-End, but not very often. Just upgraded to 1.01 and don't get it to work anymore. Moving the mouse over to the secondary machine makes the mouse pointer disappear on the primary machine, but not controllable on the secondary. Moving it back onto the primary machine then doesn't work anymore, the mouse-pointer is "lost". At that point, I have to end Multiplicity.

Primary Machine: Windows 2000 Server, SP4
Secondary Machine: Windows XP Pro, SP2

Using a Microsoft IntelliMouse via USB and the original OS drivers for it.

Hope you can get it back working again, I already felt so comfortable with this setup

I have the same problem sometimes. It seems to resolve itself if I try to push enough buttons on the main machine though, I guess escape or ctrl-escape usually does the trick - without starting task manager too

I would uninstall MP from both machines, delete any files left on disk and then reinstall it.

It sounds like the secondary machine is still running parts of MP 1.0 which would result in the switching not working.

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the reply; I've done a clean install - had to delete one of the files manually after deinstalling and rebooting. That solved all issues I had with the program, so this relatively minor issue (happens once or twice a day for at the most a minute or two ) is not really a big problem. It may have something to do with CursorXP though, as I noticed that my cursors had gone back to default after the latest episode (cursorxp had also gone from the taskmanager window). Why that would make it impossible to do anything from the keyboard is beyond me
