AmericanSensei,

If you are talking about Destruction by Gef - you would need DesktopX which can be found under the software tab ($14.95 for basic version which allows users to apply desktop themes, objects, and widgets).

You would also need Rainlendar (for the calendar) and Rainmeter (for the statistics read-out), which can be found here Link for free.

Note - I can only assume that the theme will work with the new DesktopX version 3, but I am not sure, because that theme was created with version 2.something.

The ".zip" file that you end up with after downloading the theme includes the DesktopX theme, the Rainlendar theme, and the Rainmeter theme. Just download, unzip the files, and place them in the proper folders. Run DesktopX, Rainlendar, and Rainmeter and use the configuration interfaces to apply the different skins.

I hope this made sense.

AmericanSensei,

I can tell you how to place the files in their correct locations, but may be of limited help applying the theme because I do not currently use these programs - just WindowBlinds, IconPackager, and ObjectDock.

After unzipping, you will see four items in the folder:

(1) Destroy_meter folder

(2) destroy_rain folder

(3) Destruction DXTHEME file

(4) Re Permission text file

You will distribute these into folders in the "C:\Program Files" folder (where "C" is the letter drive) as follows:

1 - Open "C:\Program Files\Rainmeter" folder (where "C" is the letter drive), and if you see a "Skins" or "Themes" folder inside - you will copy or move the "Destroy_meter" folder into that folder. If there is no "Skins" or "Themes" folder, you will copy or move the "Destroy_meter" directly into the "C:\Program Files\Rainmeter" folder.

2 - Open "C:\Program Files\Rainlendar" folder (where "C" is the letter drive), and if you see a "Skins" or "Themes" folder inside - you will copy or move the "destroy_rain" folder into that folder. If there is no "Skins" or "Themes" folder, you will copy or move the "destroy_rain" directly into the "C:\Program Files\Rainlendar" folder.

3 - Open "C:\Program Files\Stardock\DesktopX" folder (where "C" is the letter drive), and copy or paste the "Destruction" DXTHEME file in the "Themes" folder.

You are now set to go.

For Rainlendar and Rainmeter, just start the program - this will place the default calendar or meter on your desktop.

Right-click the calendar or meter and select "Skins" or "Configure" from the context menu which will give you a list of skins to choose from. The "Destroy" skin should now be in the list - choose the skin and click "Apply" or "OK" if needed.

For DesktopX, just start the program and select "Load Desktop", select the Destruction theme, then click "Apply". The user interface for the DesktopX 3 program has changed since version 2, so you may want to check out this Quick-Start article Link

I hope this was helpful, and I apologize for not having the programs installed right now allowing me to give you the exact step-by-step directions.
