How to add German weather

Hi, it it possible to add a germay weather forecast in ObjectDockPlus? if so, how? thanx in advance haylebob :)

Try typing your city and country, like "Berlin, Germany". Works for me with English and Norwegian cities.

That's because there's no town called "Munic" in Germany. You should try 'Munich'

Hi,

thanx again.
Ok, "Munic" was wrong but i write "Munich, Germany"
but it is still "Weather Information not available".
Weather.com shows "Munic, Germany" ...
I don't understand how to...
do i have something else to do?

Auf deutsch auch 'München, Germany' Klappt bei mir mit Düsseldorf auch.

You have to choose the german town-name.

Hi,

danke für die Tipps, aber es geht nicht. Bin zu blöde...

Ich habe es versucht mit München und Düsseldorf, deutsch, englisch,
bei beiden Weather Information Not Available.

Das ist deshalb komisch, weil es in "DesktopSidebar"
angezeigt wird, das ist Freeware und ich habe
19.95 Bucks für ObjectDocksPlus bezahlt da geht
es nicht...

Sometimes there are problems with language-specific letters like the german »Umlauts«. So if the city name doesn't work, try the following: Go to weather.com and search your city (click the link »World« and then »Germany«, then you get a list of all german cities in the database; this works of course with all other countries, too). If you have the weather page of your city, then take a look at the URL – there you find the city code. It begins with two letters and ends with a number. Munich for instance has the code GMXX1002. Put this code in the weather docklet dialog instead of the name of the city. It should work now.

(Zusammenfassung auf deutsch: Geh zur weather.com Webseite und ruf das Wetter für München auf oder klick hier: Link. Kopier aus dem Link den Stadt-Code für München raus – GMXX1002 – und füge den im Wetter-Docklet ein. Das sollte gehen. Wahrscheinlich liegt es am Umlaut, dass »München« nicht akzeptiert wird.)

thanx 4 u'r answer. aber es geht auch mit "GMXX1002" oder mit "http://de.weather.com/weather/local/GMXX1002" NICHT.
Ich habe es bei "Enter zip oder country code" eingegeben,
ist doch richtig, der? aber es passiert nix.
Weather Information not available...
und ich zahl auch noch Geld für dieses sch***s programm...

Hallo haylebob, XML Weather 1.10 ist deine lösung!
gibts bei http://www.dockzone.de/moby.htm unter downloads oder hier auf der wincustomize und geht wunderbar in der objectdock.

das proggie ist nicht sch...sonder nur die docklets, die nicht in europa/deutschland funzen. ok?
