Black Planets

I've seen this phenomenon before, and now I've got a screenshot and a save.

Occassionally, a planet will be completely black on the map. It may have a bit of atmosphere or ring or whatever showing, but where the terrain should be visible it's simply all black.

Here's a screenshot: Link

This planet is a habitable one (class 13 or so)

I also have a save, though good luck trying to load it

Yeah, the difference between the habitable and inhabitable planets is that we actually make a texture 'on-the-fly' that directly relates to the randomly generated surface.

Looks like some people may have problems with that operation.  What are your system specs, if you don't mind me being nosey?

I have seen the same think. Sometime a planet that could be seen properly turns black. My system spec's are 3.6GHz Intel CPU, 1 GB memory, nvidea 6800 ultra with 256 MB of memory.
