Music Feedback

Oh, and just for fun (since we never hear about music in the dev journals), I LOVE the solo voice singing the GalCiv1 theme over the title screen. Kudos to your sound designer for cleverly linking the GC1 music to the new game.

I didn't react as well to the choral parts in the planet screen music (is it the planet screen music, or is that just where I happened to hear it?) , 'cause they seemed to be played on a keyboard. Maybe you'll have time to record with actual singers?

Anyhow, HOMM II (with its opera singing on the city screens) is among my favorite game soundtracks ever. And the work you've done so far on GC2 is pleasantly reminicent of it.

I haven't made it into the actual game yet (hopefully, I will get that straightened out tonight after work), but I have been through the title screen and game set up repeatiliy. I have to agree about the music there! I really like the vocal singing! Great job!

I'd also say I love the solo voice singing. Reminds me of other excelent atmosphere music like Fantasy General and HOMM2.

Good job. Hope there will be lots more of it over the coming months,

Paul.

Unfortunately I'm one of the ones for whom the music doesn't work. Guess I gotta go dig up the files and listen to them ouside the game

Hmm, multimedia pack is helpful... Very nice music

Actually, that's just supposed to be the Intro music.  It should be fading out once the game starts to load, but it's not, and then the regular game music isn't coming in afterwords    That should be an easy fix, though.

Now I've got to find out what she's actually singing!
