Under preferences in DeskTopX settings, do you have sounds disabled?

Natural desktop is an .exe program. It is not related to desktop x on your system. It is a dx theme in a way but doesnt use anything from the desktop x program. In case it helps in some way.

STILL CANT GET MY SOUNDS TO WORK FOR DESKTOP X. BUT WHEN I UPDATED THE NATURAL DESKTOP AGAIN NO SOUNDS SO ITS THE NEW VERSION THAT IS HAVEING PROBLEMS.

Mine's working. Have you right clicked the little round button? The one that opens forecast and map and options?

This is crazy I checked my laptop and they work fine on there So I dont know what it is I have all current updates on laptop as well as my desktop and my desktop wont play the sounds but my laptop will I have uninstalled alllllll object desktop stuff etc. reinstalled with the same problem the only thing is with natural desktop i uninstalled new version and installed old version and the sounds work fine in it but as far as desktop x they still dont work except for on an occassion Like for my weather I have the sun set to play nice bird chirping sounds etc. but it wont play them. Dont know the cause but would like to know why this stuff all works on my laptop and not my desktop? I even uninstalled all my sound cards and drivers and reinstalled incase that was a problem still no luck. so it is nice to know i am not the only one with this problem at least i know its not my pc like i was thinking. I have plenty of hd space and a 1.5gb of memory with a big processor so i know its not that.
anyone who thinks thy might know please post.. thanks for your input
