Icon continuously "pops up" on main taskbar multimonitor environment

When I am using multiplicity in a multi-monitor setup and using displayfusion, I put the connection screen on one of the secondary monitors.  When I do that, the multiplicity icon keeps "popping up" on the main monitor taskbar.  It does it continuously, coming and going.  There is an icon on the secondary monitor's taskbar.  This action goes away if I exit out of displayfusion and starts up again if I start displayfusion back up.  This behavior did not occur under multiplicity 3.  None of my other programs have exhibited this behavior.

When you say it is popping up on the main display, do you mean it keeps on showing and hiding the icon based on time, or based on actions (like giving focus to it)?

At first glance this would sound like a DisplayFusion issue.

Hello.  No.  It does it continuously whether I am moving the mouse or changing focus or not even doing anything with the computer. The icon on the secondary taskbar stays as long as the networked computer window is open on that monitor.  Meanwhile, on the main display taskbar the icon keeps disappearing and reappearing.

Binary Fortress investigated this issue and said that the problem is with multiplicity.  They said, "Multiplicity is constantly trying to add itself back to the Windows taskbar. I would recommend contacting Stardock support to let them know if this issue as they likely have a reason it's doing that, but it's not something that we can work around from our end."  I would hope that this is not something you planned for this program to do because it is very annoying.  As it appears I cannot attach anything to this post, you can find the video of this issue at the binary fortress forum here:  https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/multiplicity-4-taskbar-icon-bounces-in-and-out/?ID=019b1861-fc8d-73f2-abfc-1fffe2a82ac7#7
