Invisible Openings

Invisible Openings

Everyday, many times a day, since the dawn of release, when I open a second folder, whether its back to back or if I open one then wait a long time, then open another, it does what these images show.

I have to click the title bar or the Windows taskbar at the bottom to get it to actually show up. This is really annoying since it's been going on for years at this point. It doesn't matter what folders they are, it will work great then it won't on the same folders. It does it randomly. I just opened a few folders to get this bug to show, it was easy since it does it all the time. I've installed Windows many different times so it's not Windows.

This is before I click the title or task bar, and after (what it should have done to begin with): https://postimg.cc/gallery/zyrnB7L

Can we fix this please?

I thought you owned Groupy2. In Reply #10 you state “Of course this is still an issue with the new 2.20 update.” Did you purchase Groupy2 using a different email address?

Or do you have a subscription to Object Desktop?

This only lists one thing and that is "Groupy". It shows my serial key under that and when I hover over the "Download" button, it says "Version: 1.5.1.1". Then it lists the size and name of the actual file.

There is nothing about any beta version or anything else. I'd really love to have this since I just installed Windows and rather not use the version with this issue I deal with dozens of times a day. Do you have a download link or can you email it or?

Thanks.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. That show that Groupy v2 is not link to your account. Are you on trial for Groupy 2? or a new purchased for Groupy 2? Was it done under the same email address as your registered email? Do know that Groupy 2 is not a free update from Groupy.

Thank you,

I used a different email, so I made a new account on this site with that email and now it shows "Groupy® 2 Upgrade", but the hover on the "Download" button is "2.20" still. There is nothing else, no 2.5.5.1, no beta, etc. I just want the download. 8C

What should I do now?

Thanks.

That look correct. Latest Groupy release is v2.20. I am sorry, probably it get confused with Start11 v2.55 Beta which nothing to do with Groupy v2.2.

Added Note:

I have forwarded this issue again to Stardock Support Team for their Feedback on it. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience. Thank you.

Quoting Broth3rz1,

I really don't understand why this STILL isn't fixed? It's been an actual year since I posted about this.. :'(

This is clearly an issue that many have.

Have you tried the 2.5.5.1 Beta? I don't see this issue anymore.

So I'm confused now. He said he doesn't have the issue anymore with this beta version and you're saying it doesn't exist. I just want this problem gone. How can this still be an issue though? This is madness considering it's been over a year with many reports of the issue and it being reported many times over. Clearly they don't care about Groupy much.

I can't wait for Groupy 3 with the same issue.

So sorry, I screwed up! I'm the one who is confused. The beta I was referring to was Start11v2, not Groupy2. My bad.

After seeing your latest post (Reply #21), I tested this issue several times on my machine without error.

I'm running Windows 11 - 23H2  22631.5771; and Groupy2 - 2.20

Now this morning, it's doing it again! So, I guess it is still an issue after all. :O

It's clearly been and issue for years. Why won't they fix it? Can we ask them why they aren't fixing it basj?

I believe Support has replied (reply#18 and it was logged. I believe they are still looking into it. As mentioned above, I have forwarded this one again to Support, please wait for their input.

There is a new Beta 2.30 which supposedly fixes this.

You can download it from your Account Download page. https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

  • Resolves issue with explorer tabs in auto group mode sometimes opening up invisible depending on focus and timing especially on Windows 10

Hi Broth3rz1,

Please know that when reporting an issue, we greatly appreciate and will rely on ALL reproduction steps to be laid out.  This includes even seemingly basic steps of any changes of settings from the default of the application.

Thanks for the notification. I sent the team a message 1.5 weeks ago so I guess he got it done.

@Abisnabidam: I did however notice some other bugs. The first is the main one that is just as bad as the last bug which has NOT happened with the version 2.3. Thanks for getting this fixed. :D

With grouping all explorer windows together:

  • 1. Randomly, when you open another explorer window it doesn't switch you to the new window you just opened, it just adds it to the tab bar, then you have to click that new tab a few times to get it to switch to it.
  • 2a. If I have an explorer window open, then open another, there is a fast flash of loading the new window for each new window you open / load. It does this every time. I believe the entire explorer is disappearing and coming back super fast which creates a 'flash' effect.
  • 2b. There is also flashing when closing any of the tabs with the middle mouse wheel. The same thing is happening with issue #2a, the explorer is disappearing then coming back. You can see whatever you have behind the explorer windows in both this bug and bug #2a.
