CursorFX caused cursor to disappear

CursorFX caused the cursor to disappear. I do not know how this happened. The only way I can run applications is to select them per the Window key, type in the app to execute and hit enter. When I run CursorFX, I am unable to select the options which can only be selected with a cursor. Rebooting the PC does not effect the cursor. CursorFX does not allow me to select options with the keyboard. I am stuck without a cursor and no way to bring it back that I am aware of. Do you have any ideas of what to try?

You can press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get access to your taskmanager with the keyboard and mark the CursorFX task to end it. Then you will have your default Windows cursor back. Then go here :
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Stardock\CursorFX and delete the file "CurrentTheme.CursorFX".

The reason for this issue happening, may be that you have a corrupt theme installed, so you should be careful not to select the same theme you were running when this happened. You can find all theme installed here:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes

Try what Jan suggested and if that doesn't work, try the instructions below.

Try this and see if you can get a Windows cursor going.

Press the Win key on your keyboard, and then start typing to search. Enter "Control" and the Control panel should be in the results. Use the arrow keys to navigate and open the Control Panel.

Once there. use the tab key to get down to the control panels and then the arrow key to navigate to "Mouse," and press enter.

Once the "Mouse Properties" opens, use tab and shift+tab to navigate to the tabs. Select "Pointers," and then press tab to highlight the "Scheme" pull down menu. Now use the Down arrow to navigate to a Windows cursor and press enter. Then tab to the OK button and press enter.

You should now have a Windows cursor working.

There may be an easier way, but I know this will work.

I spoke too soon. Do what pelaird suggests in the previous reply, and then you can do what I wrote in the second part of reply #2.

Thank you, Jan and plaird. I have discovered my trackball needed recharged. It works fine now since I plugged it in. I got the idea from a child who said, "Is it plugged in?" I don't typically use it plugged in. I just grin and shake my head.
