objectdock 3 slow/freeze

I installed Objectdock 3 on my windows 11 system. Now I notice that whenever I open a pogram via the tabbed dock and i close that program, it takes several seconds before Objectdock is active again. I never had that problem wit v2. Very disappointning! Any solution/hint?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issue. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Have done as you said and recretated my dock. Same issue, it takes a couple of seconds to be able to click on the dock, after i have closed a progam previuosly opened in the dock. Was definitlely not happening in v2. I am forced to downgrade to v2 to be able to use objectdock for now. Hopefully a fast solution, or i will be forced to ask a refund.

It is not the loading time of objectdock that is the problem, it is the lagging while using it. After I close a program it takes a lot of time (10-15 seconds) before objectdock becomes responsive again. I recreated my old tabbed dock with 15 tabs and approximately 200 entries in total. Works like a charm in v2, unusable in v3.

Wow.... that's a lot of entries...

That said, for testing, if you cut that amount in half, is it more responsive?  In half again, even more so?  The logic is clear here, I want to know at what point, on your PC, where it becomes less and less responsive. Perhaps in the test, there are other things you notice (app types, tab quantity, etc) that could help us here.

Thanks for the feedback.

I tested with a smaller dock, same issue. And the same big dock works flawlessly in v2

I have the same problem (on windows 11) after updating to version 3.01. To tell the truth, I also had it with the previous version but I solved it (because I read it somewhere, I don't remember where) by renaming the program installation folder Dock64.exe to Dock64TMP.exe and restarting the application. Now this no longer works also because this exe file is no longer present in the new version as it was not created after the installation of the new version. I guess I'll have to go back to the old version (after having paid money for the new version anyway).

Unfortunately I had to do the same thing as Stardock does not offer a solution.

As you might suspect, its very difficult to offer a solution if I we recreate the problem.  I am just going to place this here again with the hopes one of you will be able to helps us do that.

I am running ObjectDock 3.01 on Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5371) and anytime I close any program there is a 10 to 30 second delay before ObjectDock will respond again.

I was able to fix this behavior by selecting "Temporarily disable ObjectDock's Taskbar ability" in the troubleshooting options.  I'm not sure what else this stopped, but for me it fixed the issue.

I have had an issue where Objectdock 3 does not stay on the same tab after opening and closing  a program

My other Pc does not do this so I compared the settings.ini file and edited one to match the other. Please be sure that Objectdock is notopen when you do this my settings.ini is listed below for reference

PLease note copying and pasting the file has caused double spacing, this is notthe case in the settings.ini file in Notepad

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, it is not clear, by copying over the setting.ini, it resolved your issue mentioned here?
