WindowBlinds 10 no longer available for purchase?

I am a Win 10 user.  I have done demos for both WindowBlinds 10 and WindowBlinds 11.  I prefer WindowBlinds 10. But when I click on the link (in the program) for "Purchase Product Key" I am taken to the Stardock store, but all I am offered is to purchase WindowBlinds 11.

Is there any way for me to purchase a license for WindowBlinds 10?  I am not interested in WindowBlinds 11.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Currently, I don't see Windowblinds 10 available for sales. Not sure if it wil be added back or not. However, I have forward your question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Thanks

What specifically do you prefer about WB10 over 11?

I pretty much back up ever installer file i have ever used, if we are allowed, i can provide the last WB 10 file for this user. Maybe Doc or Jafo can confirm this is allowed by the rules.

Before we get into that (and either Neil or Jafo would be the ones for your question, not me but as I understand it, I'd advise not sending any intallers), Neil asked circlex2 an excellent question.

Before we get into that (and either Neil or Jafo would be the ones for your question, not me), Neil asked circlex2 an excellent question.

He did ask a good question, but the OP included that he did prefer WB 10, i included your name and Jafo as you are a Moderator and i thought your understanding of the rules would would be clear with a Yes Or No to proceed.

The OP was very clear Doc about not being Interested in WB 11, so even after explaining why he prefers WB 10 (as he has tested both), his question and need for a WB 10 is very relevant. I understand SD need to push WB11, but if he does not want it, surely that is up to him/her.

I am still using WB10 on my Win 10 ssd, and will not upgrade to WB 11 as my set up is very complicated and after reading the various issues WB 11 can create for numerous members, the time is not right for me, maybe he has come to a similar conclusion, maybe after testing and demonstrating Both WBs Editions, he just likes WB 10 more.

I do have a question for you Doc, i quoted your original reply in my topic, but when i enter my topic i see your reply has changed a little to include installers, but does not show as an edit, how is that possible

Even if you give him the WB10 installer, he/she will need to purchase a key to activate it, no? Also the OP is asking if SD going to sell WB10 again. As you can see Start10 is still available to be purchase, so I do hope WB10 will also be like that.

Thank you,

I do understand this fully Basj, i was offering the installer to get him part way, only SD can deal with activation. I too hope WB 10 will still be available for those who still need it, i can imagine there will be plenty of users not willing to move to Win 11 and wish to stick with WB 10 on there Win 10 systems, maybe some have encountered a crash and lost bookmarks or passwords and can not get to there Account page, so may need both a WB 10 installer and a copy of there activation details. Just trying to help a member who does not want or has no interest (after Testing Both) in WB 11.

If you're a paid subscriber to Object Desktop, it (WB10 Installer) is available in your Download, at least it's in my download account.

I expanded my answer to you to make it clearer and more inclusive to keep folks clear of "complications" even when being well intentioned. Note Don's response above.

As for seeing edits or not seeing them as edits? Meh. A glitch in the matrix.

As for the OP being clear about 10 v 11, I think (just my interpretation) Neil's question was meant to have circlex2 weigh 10 v 11...which gives and does more in case of future upgrades to his/her system. Let's leave it at that? ;)

WindowsBlinds 11 is essentially the same as WindowBlinds 10 only with several updates to work better on Windows 11 as well. There really is nothing to be gained from using Windowblinds 10 over WindowBlinds 11 if you own neither. Also, WindowBlinds 10 has reached the end of its update cycle and only WindowBlinds 11 will receive updates.

By the way, I am blown away at the responses I received to my inquiry. What a community!

circlex2 ...can you please explain in detail why you prefer WB10 to WB11 as Neil Banfield requested.

The reason I ask is [for those new to Stardock's programs] Neil is the author of Windowblinds itself.  As the Developer he will know exactly the benefits of WB11 over 10.

Generally, when a program version is withdrawn from availability it is because on-going improvements has led to the new design point [11 over 10] and on-going detail enhancement etc then concentrates solely on the new.

Object Desktop Users/Subscribers are a different level of involvement as they are the main source of public beta testing and retain the opportunity/access to software that may no longer function correctly with a newer OS and are [hopefully] aware of what's entailed with managing legacy software...;)

It's a wonderful community, circlex2. Welcome!

We all saw your join date was 12/22 and wanted to understand and help you. As Jafo mentioned, Neil Banfield is the Developer of Windowblinds. He seeks out apps which, for whatever arcane reason, don't play well with Windowblinds to help the user get the most out of the program: https://forums.stardock.com/480750/page/15/#3871057. Glad you posted the video.

A Glitch in the matrix, happens a lot that, maybe that can be sorted out, and in so, No confusion.

circlex2. Glad you are happy with the responses, we do try, hope you are able to get Exactly what you want and need.

windowblinds 11 beta.
Can you link to or post a screenshot where you see that, because WindowBlinds 11 was out of beta and released on Novemer 30. If you go to the WindowBlinds sales page, there's no mention of beta. [Link]

And no beta from my account dowload:

And the top pinned post in WindowBlinds forum is the release thread: [Link]
