Well, the summer went quickly, and Autumn is upon us. Kids are starting/going back to school (except we may have a teachers' strike, here)...leaves will turn colors, drop off their trees, and yet again I'll miss the smell of burning leaves.

I haven't chosen a fall desktop, but I know reds, oranges and yellows will be there.

In the meantime, this is on my desktop: Aerostation Xtreme (WebGizmos), A Cyborg wall of adni18's, and an underlying WB - Naked Noir (vStyler). Apps: Winstep Xtreme, Start11, Fences4 and WB.

Here's mine right now, Zender is a new free WB I made based on Dcrew57's gadget of the same name. Should be up on the site Sunday. Great colors! :-)

Good work LightStar, always loved Blinds with contrasting colours in the Start Menu like this(the text pops), Very Generous of you. I am sure many members will benefit from the use of this Blind.

They aren't, strictly speaking (but it is great work.  ;)  ). Yellow and purple blue are...they're opposite on the color wheel (#EDFC03 and #1203FC)...but that's according to color theory. In graphics, contrast has a somewhat different meaning. Actually, I think what you're referring to is their luminosity values...lightness vs darkness (most contrast being black and white). :)

Yes Doc, something like that. I think of contrasting colours as any combo that one colour stands out from the other, in the past and as i like Dark skins, i always start with Black or Dark Grey for backgrounds in explorer and Start Menus, then any colour Text that pops, so Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Pink can all contrast for me allowing the Dark skins Text to stand out and be easily read, and now thanks to LightStar, Brown can be added to that list. Yes you are right about official contrasting colours as per say the rule book, but for me if it achieves the above, i call it Contrasting. Several recent releases in the Theme scene have failed in this by using a shade of Gold for background, and another shade of Gold for Text, for me and my Old Eyes, that does not work.
