Please take a look, I was given a 5 for something i belive is way better than the others for the same WB. Maybe im wrong. did you take that last post away, I know it is a pain to look at JUST SS's, but I do enjoy them and would like to have something to do with this site.
Like I said before, I'm not able to make skins, so instead of auto approve---- how about a rating

Who?Probably me......I get to see one hell of a lot of them and generally rate them between 4 and 8 or, in other words 'mediocre', as they are JUST screenshots.People with auto-posting privileges get a '6' automatically so where exactly is your problem?...


I have auto-posting privileges, but now with the SS section only taking only 8s and above, Im out, and not sure if any one actually looked at it.

No....'Citizens' do not have auto posting privileges....that comes through advancement or promotion.

Your Screenshots, etc go through moderation and will receive a rating for public view initally by an admin.....most of these will be between 4 and 8, with the occasional one higher.

Current loading caused by server crashes may impact on the viewable 'level' to the public to keep traffic/bandwidth manageable, that is all...

Public requests for ratings and comments are commonly referred to as 'spamming' and frowned upon.

It's surprising just who considers it appropriate to trawl for ratings and/or comments....but it's decidedly 'not cricket' [as the English would say]...

I like the screenshot section too, and have used it several times for the purposes of feedback.

But when I see the average shot getting 20 views or less, I have to wonder if the screeshot section is realy worth whatever bandwidth and hard drive space it takes up.

Maybe it's time to dump that section?

I agree sum ar not rated properly! Sum rated 10 shud be 2 and sum rated 6 shud be 10, and so on, for Windows Media and watever, so sumtimes I use rateing Ascending sort, and I find out that sum uv the best ar usaly sumwere in the midle.

zzo38computer...yes, quite often the 'best', or what one perceives as the 'best' is often in the middle, rather than on top....possibly due to its attracting more ratings than the odd one which shows a '10' because only one or two people actually rated it.

What is 'best' is a personal taste issue anyway, where hopefully enough posted ratings will show a popular opinion of its 'worth'...

Yours was a straight request for ratings....which is a little different to the other two links which request advice.

Screnshots are intended to show 'arrangements' and/or works in progress....not the same kettle of fish as walls or icons which are intended for distribution for practical use by others....

I also agree with others on here about removing SS's and Litestep and replacing with Rainlendar and Trillian Skins

ok this is kind of off topic but I think the view/dl is not accurate at all. When i want to view a ss i just click at the thumb instead of "Zoom" and i believe the only time it increases is when I click Zoom down at the bottom. I might be wrong

LiteSTEP won't be going anywhere....it has an important place in many skinners' careers/development, being one of the oldest and most popular full shell replacements, and Windowblinds in particular complements it perfectly...

Hmm that's strange I just test it, both thumb +link, the number of view didnt increase, I tested it this morning on my computer didnt increase also.
