your galaxy file differs from the host sins STA3

so my buddies and I are playing star trek armada 3 mod and we are also getting "your galaxy file differs from the host." Two of us are are on Win 10 and two of use are on Win 7 any thoughts on how to fix it? we are using the default STA3 maps. we tried copying the save files and it didn't fix the issue... there seem to be a few second difference between all of our default windows time in the main task bar of a few seconds, i don't know if this is affecting the game or not. but I'd like to try to get this sorted out so we can play a prolonged game over a few days. any thoughts??

we all have the same version of SINS and star trek armada 3

we all have our save games going to

C:\Users\<inseres pc user nam here>\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion

Can you play a MP game without the MOD enabled for any player?

i will get the gang together and see if the issue persists outside the mod. when i know more i will return to you with a reply. to be honest the "fixes" i have found through searching are vague at best... but we have been trying though the mod exclusively so i will let you know... also thank you very much for your response. i truly love this mod and appreciate all the hard work that went into it.

So I have ran the game with one of my buddies and we have confirmed it is in fact something to do with the mod. i am going to try to send them my copy of the mod to see if identical files will solve the issue despite the fact we all download the mod at relatively the same time from the same site link. we have tried multiple different hosts as well as verifying the integrity of game files. we played in vanilla and had not issues. i will let you know if my second attempt to fix this issue works. if not hopefully this issue can be resolved on your end. we REALLY wanna play your mod together.

FIXED!

 

how to fix is relatively simple

 

locate the mod folder - usually in C:\Users\<insertnamehere>\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion

 

download a copy of STA3_final_edition if you don't already have it

 

upload file to https://filepost.io/

 

get you friend to make sure the game is in vanilla mode

 

download file extract and put in above folder. this way all the files you share are identical in every way. this cures the host file discrepancy error.

please pass this on to anyone else with this issue
