Master skins

considering the time & effort it takes to create a wb, i don't mind seeing 10/10.
wb is dead, these days even a free skin is not widely downloaded.
many people are more interested in social media & other stuff than spending time to create a wb which is time consuming & doesn't provide any financial benefits (for non master skinners).
coupled with the lack of effort from stardock to promote its products, it is not surprising that something like this happened.
so there's nothing wrong with 8/9, even if it's 10/10.
btw, wb main part is start menu & windows frames, how to make a lite version?

i dont use, i dont even install it, you cant blame me for not knowing  

I would like to see master skins in their separate gallery (an option kind of available if you use advanced search) and/or a search function to not include master skins.

I don't mind paying for a skin every now and then. I appreciate essorant (retiredmaster) releasing his skins as freebies though. I really appreciate him making some skins for Curtains too. Honestly, I've found myself using Curtains more and more. I check the WB library every few days and if something intriguing has been released I'll download and use it for a few days. I don't think anyone has moved up a tax bracket with his/her earnings from master skins. The skinning community isn't as populated as it once was, unfortunately.

Yeah, definitely not in a new tax bracket here John. Besides that, I give most up my earnings to the poor and less fortunate. I did some math once on my earnings on a skin for one pay period, the best selling one even, and for the amount of hours I put into the design, and after Stardocks 40-43% cut, I made 36 cents an hour. Woo!

yeah, fb was opened in my browser while i played with one of your skins in sks.
one copy paste lead me to that cool photo  

I think the main problem is many apps, such as browsers and MS Office, cannot be properly skinned anymore.  For me WindowBlinds is mostly about having an interesting start menu and taskbar.  When I need the full effect I open an explorer window LOL.

All kidding aside for a minute or two. Tom, you're a good guy. I know you help many others with money, food, clothing, fuel for their car, complete computers, and/or anything else they need. A lot of folks on WC don't know you do that but they should. You've been doing it for many, many years. I know you you don't look for credit or a pat on the back because you're pretty modest but you deserve it all. Fortunately, I've been able to say you're a friend for quite awhile now.
