The skin would need to be opened in SkinStudio and the have the bottom of the Toolbar background image or the  top area of the Command Bar background image edited to remove that line 1nsomn1ac.  To me it looks like the bottom of the Toolbar background image, but there is not of knowing for sure without using SkinStudio to check.

Is that even a wb? Link?

I believe the white line you are reffering to is caused by the Ribbon bar. You can turn it off for a much cleaner look if you don't really use it since it just has common actions inside of it that you can do elsewhere.

It can be turned off by going into the settings of WindowBlinds and ticking this entry:

I don't have it ticked for me since I'm using a different tool to hide it along with the "Up" Arrow next to the back/foward buttons.

both Toolbar background & Command Bar background image are clean, there is no such line.
i think it came from windows system.

yes, everyone is helpful, thanks to you too :)
anyway, i'm making a minimalist looking wb, but there's another problem.
i've managed to get rid of the search box,
but the search icon won't go away, any thought? i can't find where to replace the icon file.

That image is forced by Windows 10, but you can change it here:

(If you make it a transparent image, the icon will disappear completely)

However, it will not change the Search Icon in the explorer search box, which is also forced, but not changeable at all.

Lightstar, i think i still need your help, hope you don't mind

for the first  time i'm trying to make a dark skin, but having some problem.

how to replace this white line & how to change the black color in the searchbox? thank you

The white line is in the section: Edit Explorer/IE shell parts>Edit additional parts>Additional explorer sections>left hand line. You might as well skin the right hand line while you're at it as it will show up if you enable the preview pane in explorer.

The black text in the searchbox is unfortunately hard coded. One of the drawbacks of doing dark skins.

By the way, that skin looks HOT!

you're partly right, i used the color for button face background in primary substyle (light skin),
but for dark substyle i have changed it, it doesn't seem to have any effect.

for #1 i know it's possible to change the white color, i have seen some skin using other color for that part, i just don't know how to change it.

i know you're right |-) but in this case unfortunately doesn't work, dunno why.

i deleted the light substyle, rename the dark sub, save it as a single sub wba, change to other skin,
delete style, apply the new renamed wba, and.... no effect, even reboot the computer has no effect, even change the color palette in light substyle didn't work, strange

edit: change picture to include the windows properties.

The are some colors forced by the operating system that you have no control over whatsoever. Microsoft doesn't care about people who want to customize the OS at all.

I saw this happened on my skin before. Usually it came from very old skin. Did you create this one from building on a very old skin? When I get this I go hunting for that color. In my case usually it is not white so it quite easy to look for it and change to something else. Use Color pick and search that color setting in those old files. Sometimes is just color setting, but there also times there is odd bitmap files with that color on it.

Or you can start over a new build from a newer skin.

Just my 2 cents.

thanks for your input Basj.
i started the light substyle in 2009, feels like yesterday not old.
i stopped using wb after win7 replaced by 10, and started using it again in the last 2 weeks, then started tweaking some ancient skins to look proper in win10.
i did what you suggest, i know that the white around dropdown box is color i use for text,
and the white in button face background came from the light substyle.
i open uis/sss & xp files and search for those specific color code/color number, but unfortunately didn't find anything useful.
since i know where the specific color came from, i know it wasn't forced by os and must be able to be changed, i just don't know it yet.
therefore any feedback is appreciated & considered, thank you Basj :congrat:
