In your downloads directory, there is likely a 'Stardock' folder there.  Delete it and try again.

After deleting the SD download folder and installing the latest ODM, I still get the false positive notification for Fences, and WB11.

That's what I've been doing, Sean. As you can see, odm doesn't seem to recognize my installed version, which is the latest offered, even betas.

Again, in danger to be censored again: What is the use of OD-Manager if I have to go to a webpage to look if my software is decent for months? These are workarounda, no solutions.

You have been here a long time, c242, and your contributions have motivated changes that have a direct line to many of our successes - thank you for them.  However, when comments border on humiliation for the sake of making a point, they have lost their value.

I get it, Dr, I talk about it often here.  It will get addressed, its just a matter of resources, priorities, and time.

Appreciate the feedback.

Would it at least be possible to get the latest version of ODM downloaded from somewhere. After following all steps given in this forum thread, I still cannot get anything other than version 4.0.1 and the false update prompts are there for Start11 and Fences.

That does seem to have updated ODM to the latest version, since it's now using dark mode and no longer have an options menu.

I manually downloaded Fences from my accounts page, which installed version 4.10. If I check for updates in Fences it says the product is up to date, while ODM is still insisting that I need to update to version 4.10.6.

It is a known issue with ODM pop up update notification for product which actually fully updated. What you can do is to ignore its popup msg or disable update check on ODM and periodically do manual verification via your account page.

Well, updating ODM seems to resolve that issue quite easily by bringing in a new error.

The task is there, and on schedule. If running the task manually it shows zero problems. But going in to settings will give the above error.

I would try under a new Windows Admin account:

Is there any reason not to use OD version 4.01 ? I go to my account page , and it says it will download 4.03 , but what gets downloaded and installed is 4.01 .

This is on a freshly installed OS. Nothing else has been installed. A pristine install. Not even Onedrive data left over , it was scrubbed manually beforehand to prevent any conflicts.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. That is strange, I am using ODM version 4.3.7830.30748. And I just redownload the ODM installer from my account and it look the same with my older saved installer (refer my screenshot below). What I suggest is, try uninstall ODM from your system. Reboot, redownload the installer, and look into the property and see if you get the same result as shown on my screenshot below.

Thanks

Here is the installer . It looks like the correct installer. What it actually installs is 4.01 , as pictured.

Or am I misunderstanding your version numbering ? Thatshould read Product versiion 4.03 , correct ?

I have wiped the system , reinstalled the OS 2 more times, due to other issues , but that has allowed me to try this multiple times. I have even tried it first thing after installing the OS , before even downloading any patches. Tried after patching .  This still seems to be installing 4.01
