Nexus Ultimate Renewal

I renewed my subscription to Nexus Ultimate several days ago but it continues to nag me to renew.  Plus, the expiration date in the app hasn't been updated.  When this has happened in the past I had to obtain a new nexus.wskey file but have no memory of how to do that.

Can anyone help?

When you downloaded the installer pack it creates a folder in C:/users/your name/public/public documents/Winstep/Licenses. The ws.key should be in there. Click on it to activate. Hope this helps.

I found nexus.key, not ws.key, in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Winstep\Licenses.  (Not under my user name) When I double-clicked on it I had to tell it which program to use to open it.  I selected NexusUltimate.exe but there was no change.  If I double-click on nexus.wsxkey in the documents folder it says thank you for registering the software but doesn't change the expiration date.  I also tried renaming nexus.key to nexus.wsxkey but that didn't help.

Ok, I finally figured out what was wrong.  Thanks for your help.

Just to clarify for anyone reading this that might get the wrong idea: Nexus Ultimate does not 'expire', this is NOT rental nor subscription software.

What DOES expire is the 1 year period of free updates. After that year, if you want to get more updates you need to renew the update subscription for another year for a fraction of the price you originally paid for the application. You DO NOT have to do this unless there are updates you want which are already outside your update subscription period - also, there are NO penalties for not renewing 'on time'.

When you DO renew, you get another license key file, which you must install as you did the first one, so it replaces the old license key file. I guess this is what gevansmd wasn't realizing at the time, he was probably trying to apply the old key file instead of the new.
