Error Messages on Startup

Hey, just installed the game with Minor Factions DLC ... and i get some weird error messages. No Mods activated.

 

Missing \n in .\String\English.str

This is a mostly harmless error message usually caused by forgetting to hit enter at the end of an archive file.

It is only here to verify that the buffer given to read the string is big enough to hold the string read from the file.

If there is no \n character then this particular bug can't be properly detected.

to fix - put a newline at the end of this file.

Open String\English.str

go to the last line

hit enter

Thanks for your answer, I did what you said, but the problem still remains. Same error ... and yes I saved the file :)

 

There is one other thing though: When I start the game in normal Mode, then my computer crashes in a way, that it won`t react to anything I do. There is just the Windows Loading cursor visible, but nothing happens at all. Game only works when I start it in Dev Mode. How can that be with a fresh install? Anyone can help here?

And another error, when i enlarge the window

This seems to be serious, because the game really crashes

Upon validating my game files, it says that 1 file needs to be downloaded. after the download and validating again, it still says one file is corrupted. lots of problems ....

Might need to consider a hardware fault. RAM, Harddisk, Graphics card, or your windows installation. Are other (demanding) games working?
