Rebellion Does Not Run Correctly

Hey guys,

So an interesting bug...I installed Sin's via Steam and ran no problem. Upon exiting out and relaunching it does not run right. Let me explain:

 

I open the Rebellion launcher and click to launch Rebellion. I get the splash loading screen with the Rebellion logo. Then I hear the intro movie playing, but the screen is black. I press enter in order to skip the intro movie and then the audio ceases. I noticed after alt-tabbing a bunch that I will eventually get the main menu to pop up. When I attempt to interact with the menu the screen goes black again. This issue is persistent. 

Please help.

Kind of sounds like a graphics driver thing with all that unpredictability. I know its generic advice but maybe check if you can update them?

Just preformed a clean install. No luck. My GPU is a 1060GTX(m) 6Gb

I'd like to mention that it was displaying and running correctly upon the initial install. It was when I quit the game and relaunched that this issue occurred.

Try deleting your settings files in: \Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Setting

Running the game windowed:

Try navigating to this directory: C:\Users\{USERNAME}\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Setting

Then open the rebellion.user.setting file and set this option:

VideoIsWindowed TRUE

Windowed actually works. Thanks!! Now..is there a way to do windowed fullscreen? Playing window bordered will be a pain :p

If you're refresh rate is higher than 60Hz, try dropping it down.
