Personal Request

To See if Anyone Cares Any more

It has been years since the information in the sites browser tabs have been updated. You go to the WC home page and it still says "WinCustomize: Your home for Windows 7 themes, Vista Themes, and XP themes, skins....", you click on the Forums link and the page tab says "WinCustomize: Windows XP Themes, XP Skins, Icons & Wallpapers ...". etc. Could someone please do their job and keep the site information up to date and meaningful? It just seems that no one cares about WinCustomize any more. :(

That's an easy fix. I'm sure once they see this post they will fix it. :)

I know it's an easy fix Phil, I programmed a couple of sites too once. I just don't understand the lack of professionalism on WC in regards to keeping things current, enticing and up-to-date is all.

Been thinking this for a while.  k1 Yeah, it's an awfully long title and so outdated.  It should be updated to what's current... and definitely shortened so it is better accommodated in bookmarks, etc.

You know better than that.

It has been noted and I'm sure as time permits it will be worked on.

Thanks Hankers, there was just no response, so I did not know that.

Wouldn't changing that possibly interfere/change the position of Wincustomize in Google searches?

Personally I'm always weary of changing stuff like that on the Winstep web site, you never know what kind of impact that will have on Google searches.

I know Tom had a web site for years and I also had one. I do understand what Tom is saying about maybe some people are seeing old out dated material.

However I agree with you Jorge, Changing any link old or new that still gets you to a Stardock page is a bad move. Change the title and it will most likely go to the bottom of Google. Even though the search engines look at the Meta tags (words, descriptions) it will be affected by a title name change.

Unfortunately WinCustomize doesn't always get the attention it deserves, but I did give it a little love and updated the Title and Description.
